My girlfriend and I have come here twice. For pedicures both times, once last Thanksgiving, and once a couple of weeks ago in early May. I would never review a nail salon based on one experience, but now that it has been two, I feel that I can share my experience. It’s funny, because I’m wearing the exact same outfit in both visits!
This is a four star review, mostly because my nails look great. There were a couple of hiccups, as some other people have mentioned. There is not a lot of English been spoken, but I have never held that against anybody anywhere in any situation. As long as we try to communicate. Different languages are beautiful and different cultures are beautiful, and I like working around that language barriers. So for people that complain that the language is a problem, I’m sure you can find some common ground. Have some patience. And there was a manager there, a man, who seemed to speak very good English.
All that said, here are the reasons this is not a five star review.
1. The first time we came, we were both offered wine or water or other beverages, and we both had a little glass of wine. This time, they offered my friend something to drink, and she got a bottle of water, but they never offered me anything. I asked the person who was doing my nails for a glass of wine, and she asked if I wanted red or white. I asked for red, and she brought white. It is no big deal. But it would have been nice when the man was asking my friend what she wanted if he had turned to me (in the chair exactly right next to her) and asked what I wanted.
2. Toenails look great, the massage was great, but both times I felt that there was still a little bit of my skin that was peeling that should’ve been excavated off. With other pedicures, they get my skin really really smooth, and this one feels like they could’ve done a better job with getting some of the dead skin off. But they always look great, and they last a long time time!
I have some complains that the owner leaves some really odd responses to the reviews in the past, so maybe under new management they won’t leave something so combative.
