“We hired Peartree Homes to construct a complete living area above our detached garage with a living room, kitchenette, tiled bathroom and shower. Before making our decision, we interviewed about a dozen other contractors for the job and decided to go with Peartree. David, the owner, is very professional and responsive, which was critical to us given the large scale of the project which involved extensive demo work and raising the roof of the garage, not to mention adding plumbing, HVAC, stairs, wood flooring, cabinets, countertops, trim, finish work, etc. After my initial conversation with David, it was immediately clear to me that they were the company to go with and I was never disappointed. Peartree lined up an architect who did a great job bringing our vision for the space into a final design. Once we had the permits in hand to proceed with the project, everything was smooth sailing and the construction progressed in a timely matter. Peartree’s project mangement exceeded my expectations, especially given the large scale and number of trades involved. The only delays in the entire project related to elements outside of their control, namely waiting for inspections, but even those pauses were minimal. The fact that work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner made for a low stress, seamless experience. Brooks, our project manager, was very attentive in answering our questions and keeping us in the loop on progress. Peartree uses an online portal, where clients can login to view the schedule for the work and daily updates on the progress, which was nice feature.
