“I've used Oakes Appliance several times over the past year or so. Recently they saved me quite a bit of money when our freezer went out. There were a lot of possibilities ranging from a short in the cord to the main port. The office gave me the worse case scenario up front so I could compare repairing vs replacing. I decided to schedule a diagnostic visit and see what was happening. After checking and rechecking everything, a loose wire was found to be the culprit (the unit is 10 years old and been through 2 moves so not totally surprised). Once it was reseated and secured the freezer came back on. Appreciate the skillfulness of the technician and the helpfulness and the thoroughness of the office staff to provide me with the information I needed to decide what to do.
