“Dr Richard Mello is the owner & vet. He is very dedicated to his patients & although he retired many years ago..he is still there treating his patients most days.WAH is very busy and the worldwide shortage of vets does not help. They are overwhelmed by people bringing their babies to them. They are often booked at least a month out for routine visits. They do their best to accommodate emergency calls. WAH tries to keep their fees reasonable and will work out a payment plan with you if you're honest!Dr Mello's daughter, Dr Jodi is also an experienced excellent vet there for many years. I've heard another long time vet is retiring soon. They have reduced their hours since COVID to Monday- Friday.I highly recommend WAH.“

“My elderly cat got out and wandered off and was picked up and delivered to City Kitty to see if he was chipped. I was out of town and they were able to board him until I got back the next morning. He was well cared for and it was a great part of an otherwise unfortunate situation. Thank you!“

“I can't imagine why anyone would leave a negative review about Abbott Animal Hospital. I've been taking my dogs here for over 20 years and it's still privately owned and not bought out by a corporation as many hospitals have been. It's a father and son team, that are knowledgeable, compassionate and available for emergency visits after hours visits, which is unheard of. Their prices are in line with the services they offer, and they offer almost everything at this hospital. My experiences here over the past two decades have always been good and I can't say enough about them.“

“This is the BEST vet I've ever been to! Dr. Lindsey is amazing! I have Chinese SharPeis which can be very difficult to diagnose. She has gone above and beyond with my dogs. The staff is awesome! So friendly and caring about the animals. One of my dogs was having problems and she was the ONLY vet that could figure out what was happening and she got my pup healthy & happy! I highly recommend them!! Having the vet come to your home is the BEST! You don't have to worry about other animals around yours, getting them sick or in a fight. If they are running 10 minutes late, they call you and let you know. You're at home, so it really doesn't matter anyways. If you are looking for a vet & staff that will put your animals FIRST this is the vet! I've been seeing them for over 7 years now. Best thing I've ever done!“

Jessica did the intake and took her time gaining Beau's trust. She listened to my concerns and relayed those to Dr. Girard who then came in and was wonderful. She was kind and explained her approach as we came up with a mutually agreed upon plan. I really appreciated their professionalism and felt confident in the care we received there.“

“The vets and techncians at Gansett Animal Hospital are professional, competent, and caring with animals and their owners. They have taken excellent care of two dogs of mine over about a 15 year period of time. They are excellent with relating to dogs. Both my former dog and my current one have willingly cooperated with the vets and technicians there, running up the steps eagerly when they have gone for routine exams, and when they didn't feel well seemed to know they would be helped. I highly recommend them.“

“Top Notch Care! Our 6.5 month old Australian shepherd was referred to Bay State from VUCC with violent diarrhea and vomiting for overnight observation. We had been turned away from Ocean State in Warwick because they were full. From reception to veterinary care to tech communication, this group was top notch. We anxiously awaited the first consult with Dr LaFountain, who very kindly and patiently explained what they wanted to do and the costs. She answered our questions and allayed our fears. The next day, Dr Nelson spoke to us with the update and gave us very clear information and was also patient and understanding. Special shout out to Megan the Vet Tech for her above and beyond communication when we came to pick our pup up. And Megan even followed up with some home care considerations the next day, when we couldn't even get in touch with our own vet. Worth the trip over the bridge for excellent care.“

“I’ve been going to sakonnet vet for yearrrssss. First with a cat, then a small dog and now my big German Shepard. The stuff are nothing short of amazing. Always super friendly and caring both of our fury children and of us. They were all saints when I was pregnant and struggling with my large German Shepard.Only downfall is, the availability of appointments. But that is not their fault ! The number of vets out there is just low. I’m so thankful that we found them and have them.“

“Went in on July 13th for routine checkup. Our girl Cora needless to say does not particularly care for the Vet. She is the sweetest cat in the world, but anytime we have ever had to bring her for a checkup, she turns into a Cat monster. Hissing, spitting, and just ferocious so the team @ DR Animal Hospital recommended that she be put under a light anesthesia for her visit to make it more comfortable for everyone.I think its fair to say that any good pet owner gets worried whenever their animal is unhappy, distressed and would do anything to make their animal not feel that. The team did everything by the books. I've been to other animal hospitals that do a terrible job with the whole empathy thing. When we dropped her off, we left knowing that she is in great hands! The best part is how they handled our visit when time to settle up. We were having an issue with our CareCredit card as we have not used it in a long time and had a new card that we never did activate. After calling Care Credit, they informed us that DR AH could look up our account. With a little hard work from Mackenzie and the rest of the team, we were able to get the problem resolved and use our CareCredit card with 6 months of no interest! I wish I knew any of the other Vet's names, but there were good vibes on every single part of the Visit! Highly recommend and our other buddy Dawson will be by in a few days for his checkup as well!!!Customer for life!! Thanks to DR Animal Hospital and their staff“
