My last experience buying glasses was from the fancy "boutique" eyewear place in Sq Hill, you know which one I am talking about, the grossly overpriced "Hipster" optical joint. Well, I paid them way too much money and got a pair of glasses that never fit right. I have a narrow nose and they wouldn't stay up no matter what -- as it was a bad fit. 20/20 on the other hand, they directed me to a pair right out of the gate, Columbia (I love Colombia!) frames, uncanny, almost like magic, these glasses fit like a glove.
