“I needed the carpet in a townhouse cleaned before furniture was brought in and called three different companies for quotes. One was well known and the price appeared to be reasonable if I only had 3 rooms to clean. Once I explained there was a fourth room, two sets of stairs and a landing, the price skyrocketed. The second company charged around .40 a square foot and resulted in a higher cost than we expected also.
