It's a safe space for the kids to make new friends, play some music, and learn new things. All of the teachers were very friendly and they followed all of the appropriate safety precautions which I appreciate! My daughter had an amazing time and she can't wait to go back!“

711 S 50th St, Philadelphia“We have had a great time at Green Tambourine- my then 5 year old started by attending a weekend open house, followed by a summer camp and now regular violin lessons. Ms Ann is an amazing teacher who not only teaches the kids music, but is also able to fill them with the joy that comes from learning music; the whole environment at GT is just so wonderful. They are very flexible and offer make up classes. Last year, they agreed to summer classes just so that we keep up the skills. We absolutely love Green Tambourine and encourage others to explore!“

22 E Chestnut Hill Ave, Philadelphia“My child has taken piano and violin lessons here at Chestnut Hill Music Academy. The teachers here are great at meeting the student where they are at and getting them engaged in the instruments. My child was able to learn how to play music and read music with one instructor which helps to tie everything together, especially when you're really new at the instruments. It's always our first choice for music lessons in the area.“

6128 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia“My daughter has been taking classes and lessons at Settlement going on 5 years now. She’s also in the youth choir. They offer financial aid and run a preschool program. The teachers are top notch and the school as a whole provides a nice sense of community. Though a lot of the instruction is classical oriented—and that may be a newcomer’s takeaway after looking through the website, my daughter plays folk and rock mostly. Anything goes, just let them know what you want/need.“

507 S Broad St, Philadelphia“I had a wonderful experience at Fred Oster Fine Violins yesterday. Fred was kind enough to show me about 12 very nice Italian violins. Oster has an excellent collection of fine violins. Fred’s knowledge of these instruments is truly impressive. He made some wonderful suggestions to me. I especially appreciated his direct honesty in regards to the condition and true origin of each violin. We narrowed our search down to a fabulous Mezzadri and beautiful Scarampella violin. I do not live on the east coast but Oster Violins will be a frequent stop for me in the future when I am out this way. Catherine Jacobs was very helpful with arranging all the details of my visit and Samantha was nice enough to play several of the violins from a distance to get a better feel for projection. Highly recommend Fred if you are looking to buy a nice violin. Fred is indeed an expert on Italian violins. Thank you AndrewJust an update: I did choose the Alessandro Mezzadri violin. Love it. Thanks Fred and Catherine for all your help.“

614 S 2nd St, Philadelphia“I'm very picky and wanted a particular type of accordion, but I wanted to get my hands on it before purchasing. I flew across the country and arrived on a Tuesday, the first day of the week the shop is open. I should've predicted how busy it would be, but the staff were very patient as I tried about 10 different accordions and found the perfect one for me. I'm very happy with my purchase and with all the help I received from Liberty Bellows. I will definitely go here again for future purchases.“

“I took two 10 week courses with Dianemarie and I loved them! I learned how to develop my voice, step out of my comfort zone, and reach new vocal ranges I didn’t even know I could reach. Will definitely take again!“
