It's a safe space for the kids to make new friends, play some music, and learn new things. “Update:2023Our son is now a Junior in high school and college prep and other studies have taken over his schedule. He will need to pause his formal music education for awhile, but the time spent at Chestnut Hill Music Academy was worth it!We are so thankful for the many years of dedication by his instructors and for making music education fun.He can now play the drums, guitar, a little piano, and recently added Tuba and handbells as part of his continuing music participation in school. He has recently joined his 2023 class induction into the Nation Honor Music Society!Thank you Mickey for your leadership and passion for teaching music, and we wish many more years of success to the Chestnut Hill Music Academy community.------------2018Our son loves his music lessons from Chestnut Hill Music Academy! His teacher is patient and knows how to keep our son's interest in music. He actually enjoys practicing because the songs are both challenging and fun to play. Even if not always easy to listen to :-). We receive great value for the lessons, and make-up sessions are flexible. After sticking with his instrument, he now has the confidence to play in both school and church orchestras. We would highly recommend this music school for all ages!“

“I had a wonderful experience at Fred Oster Fine Violins yesterday. Fred was kind enough to show me about 12 very nice Italian violins. Oster has an excellent collection of fine violins. Fred’s knowledge of these instruments is truly impressive. He made some wonderful suggestions to me. I especially appreciated his direct honesty in regards to the condition and true origin of each violin. We narrowed our search down to a fabulous Mezzadri and beautiful Scarampella violin. I do not live on the east coast but Oster Violins will be a frequent stop for me in the future when I am out this way. Catherine Jacobs was very helpful with arranging all the details of my visit and Samantha was nice enough to play several of the violins from a distance to get a better feel for projection. Highly recommend Fred if you are looking to buy a nice violin. Fred is indeed an expert on Italian violins. Thank you AndrewJust an update: I did choose the Alessandro Mezzadri violin. Love it.
