My daughter has been taking classes and lessons at Settlement going on 5 years now. She’s also in the youth choir. They offer financial aid and run a preschool program. The teachers are top notch and the school as a whole provides a nice sense of community. Though a lot of the instruction is classical oriented—and that may be a newcomer’s takeaway after looking through the website, my daughter plays folk and rock mostly. Anything goes, just let them know what you want/need.

Settlement Music School is an inclusive creative community, dedicated to providing the highest quality arts education for all. Regardless of age, background, ability, or economic circumstances, there is a place for all at Settlement. We offer 10,000 services every week in music, dance, visual arts, and arts therapy at our branches and dozens of community partnerships across the region, and are proud to offer financial aid to more than 60% of our student population, ages 6 months to 96 years.
