We fought with water issues for years. After dealing with it for a while and thinking we got it taken care of a good solid rain came in and created enough damage that we had to gut our newly renovated basement. We got an estimate and ultimately an appointment for the project to start. They actually completed the job months ago, and while we haven't had any water issues, I was waiting for "the big one" to judge.The real kicker came in this past week. We got hit with an insane amount of rain and there was flooding all around us. Schools let out early, some business closed, etc. This was definitely the real world test I was waiting for, but I'm happy to report that my basement is entirely dry. I took a look inside the sump pump basin and the water was definitely coming in, but it was entirely controlled and the pumps did their job. I was beyond happy to see this, particularly since we just finished up yet another basement renovation on the hope it would be the last renovation needed. This was easily the most profound rain we've had since living in this house and would have certainly experienced quite a lot of standing water, but this time we were able to watch a movie in the basement dry and undisturbed. It was definitely more involved than slapping some water proofer on the block wall, but now that we've experienced this kind of weather, it was undoubtedly a smart move to run with.Can't thank the team at Shelley enough. I am writing this several years after the Shelley team installed a basement system for us. First they put in trenches for about half our basement tied to an existing pump. Then, at our request, they finished the periphery of the basement and added a second pump. I think of them every time it rains hard, as it is doing at the moment. Flash floods outside, water streaming everywhere. And our basement, the one that used to flood like crazy, is bone dry. We tried a whole range of solutions before the Shelleys, but they solved our problem. Can't thank them enough, not to mention reasonable prices, courteous and professional service.
Jay, his son Greg, and their team expertly and efficiently built a french drain and hooked it up to my sump pit with ease. No more water issues. PERIOD. DONE OVER WITH!The expertise is fantastic and the price was well worth it. They are straight shooters and very professional.
