If I could give a negative star I would. A tax issue recently surfaced, and I figured I would reach out to a professional. I dropped time-sensitive paperwork off to Plachuta on a Monday. I did not hear from Plachuta all week, so I called Friday. Plachuta gets on the phone and is confused regarding my tax situation. Since Plachuta did not seem to know how to proceed with this situation, I finally told him that, based on my research, a tax amendment is required. Plachuta replies that he does not have time for that. Plachuta basically did not know how to handle this tax case, disregarded it, and was not even going to tell me. I told him that there was a clerical error in the IRS end in which he replied "The IRS does not make mistakes." Is this guy for real? Although he certainly should have known how to handle this situation, I do not care if he was unable to figure it out. Plachuta could have, however, informed me that he did not have the time to address my taxes; he simply blew it off and I had to call him as I had not heard from him all week. Now a week is wasted with time sensitive material. I do not think he would have reached out at all; thankfully I called him for a status!

Our family has been using the services of John Plachuta for many years.
