If you have ever seen one, they are connected by a ball of lead soldered around the joint, about the size of a handball. They came out, took pictures, sent me a quote, reasonable. Ordered the parts, came out and repaired it. Now it could have been much much worse, had the lead seal busted I would be looking at a bathroom gut job and redo, we are talking at least 10K. So they had a plan, executed and the job is good for my lifetime, the next owner can deal with it!“
