“This review is long overdue and I apologize for that. Elek assisted us with our sewer lateral repair related to the sale of our home in Emmaus (Emmaus borough code requires a sewer lateral inspection and repair if necessary to sell a home). At any rate, we contacted Elek as they had always been great in the past with other plumbing related services. This time was no different and their crew went well above and beyond. Brady and his gang (Dax, Scotty, Jon K., Derrick and Paul) were professional, polite, informative and very hard working. Don't let me forget their "Dig Crew" who showed up bright and early on a Saturday morning. Their attention to detail was second to none. Elek provided us with a reasonable quote, and stuck to that number even when they had to bring in additional equipment and do more work that was not anticipated. It ended up being a big job but they handled it very well and did it right, all for the agreed-upon price. This all occurred back in May and again my apologies for providing this review so late, but we were caught up in our move. “Gene replaced the gas valve on the boiler. Hopefully that solves the problem. I would think that the gas valve would be under warranty sice it was just replaced last winter when the new control w3as installed.“

“We have engaged Dale Arndt several times over the years. This time (July 2022), a (different) handyman was doing some other work in our house, and he broke off the decorative ring on the popup drain in our bathtub (not sure how or why). He (the handyman) wanted to fix it from the powder room ceiling below, since there was no other access. But this would have involved cutting into the drywall which he had just painted all nice. I told him (the handyman) to hold off. We made an SOS call to Dale, since I recollected he had helped us with a similar problem in my other bathroom in 2017. Dale showed up and tried to take the fitting out with his special tool that engaged the cross-piece, but was limited in the amount of torque that could be applied since something else was turning which shouldnt be (perhaps as a result of the handyman's prior attempts). So he got out his hacksaw blade and sawed the fitting remnant off the PVC piping threads to remove it. Painstaking work, especially on the knees and forearms. Also delicate work as you had to be careful not to damage the pipe threads in the PVC drainpipe. I offered him some water or coke. He politely declined saying he had his drinks in the van. Anyway, he got it out and a new replacement went in smooth, pretty much the same approach as in 2017. He also snaked out a slow flushing commode. Throughout, he kept explaining what he was doing. He cleaned up after himself. And most importantly for my wife, he agreed to wear shoe covers we supplied, and he took them off and back on every time he had to go to his truck (about 4 times). We were so appreciative of this, as well has relieved that we didnt have to rip up any drywall, that we added a 10% gratuity !“
