“We were in trouble on a Sunday night with a sewer stoppage. I called two firms for estimates and they arrived promptly. The stoppage could only be rodded through the roof vent and the first service man declined even quoting the job. Speedy Rooter's technician, Justin, gave us a fair quote for the rodding and sent for a helper for safety reasons, especially in the dark of night. Unfortunately, our stoppage could not be cleared but for a fair (but refundable on work) estimate a camera with sensor traced the line. The first stoppage was a collapsed piece of concrete asbestos drain pipe and the second one showing seepage was closer to the city connection. We were forced with a horrid tear up of our well manicured front lawn and rock garden. The line went under both the rock garden and the mature lawn out to the city connection a terriible spot to trench. Justin suggested a sub-contractor to perform this work with a piece of equipment that achieves old line seperation and installation of new PVC drain line fabricated on site. This kind of work is not inexpensive and was well managed by Speedy Rooter's crew working with a very specialized subcontractor. The work was beyond excellent, to say the least. Our old drainage system was 45 feet of non coupled cement asbestos pipe 50+ years old. By Tuesday late afternoon a new seamless and coupling free drainage system was installed. Two cleanouts were added and our front lawn is 90% perfect. Some re-sodding will be required where the pit was located for the Trenchless machine but no comparison to interrupting 45 feet of our rock garden and lawn. All in all, we feel lucky to have found Speedy Rooter, Justin, and the work well supervised and performed. This was major work done in record time by an honorable firm, Speedy Rooter. This is a company that you can trust in a market filled with rip-off artists and thieves. The owner, Richard is someone who keeps in touch with you and not vice versa.
