My experience was so amazing that I'd like to tell you all about it!!I participated in her '40 Women over 40' project. I wanted to sign up for this project last year and chickened out. This year, I decided to call Shawnalee and get a feel for her and what she would bring to the table. She is so genuine and puts you at ease immediately. I appreciated that she wanted to get to know ME. After speaking with Shawnalee, I knew she was the one and this project was something I had to do!Honestly, I was feeling a little insecure leading up to the shoot. I didn't feel I was photogenic at all, and being in my 50s, I worried about being able to pull off producing fun, confident, sexy, classy images. I thought I'd feel awkward and embarrassed. How am I supposed to pose? What do I do with my hands? Shawnalee said to me before my shoot, that all of that was HER job.And she is AMAZING at her jobThe shoot was: empowering, fun, life changing. Her studio is top notch and I was pampered throughout. But I was still a little nervous to see the results.When Shawnalee and I went through the reveal...Oh.My.Word. What I saw was a beautiful, confident mature woman. And it was me! And it still looked like me! In my images, I saw myself in a different light. I felt like the images were celebrating not only my wisdom and growth and maturity, but also celebrating the beauty that is still evident, even at this stage of my life. We are ALL beautiful and Shawnalee has quite the knack in drawing it out and capturing it.This experience is something that I will never forget. And I am so pleased to have photos that I can pass down to my children and maybe their children.If you are interested in this project or in any type of photo shoot, I can't recommend Shawnalee Studios enough. “We absolutely loved our experience taking newborn photos with Zoe. She was incredibly welcoming and her studio was well equipped with everything a baby (and parent) could need. While our baby had his photos taken we could relax on the couches, have a snack or drink - which were provided for us, and just take a little (very welcome) break. Zoe was amazing at soothing our baby and calming him even when he was fussy, hungry, or needing a diaper change. She is incredibly good at what she does and clearly enjoys the entire process. Our photos are beautiful and capture our little one (and us too) at such a special time. Our first child was born during the pandemic so we never got a chance to have these experiences, it is so special that Zoe was able to capture them for us with our second. If you are considering this type of photo shoot I highly recommend Zoe, she will not only capture beautiful memories for you but the experience will be stress free (potentially even rejuvenating) and fun.“

“Choosing a photographer for our wedding in October was such a big decision, as I knew the photos would be the one thing we continued to look back on throughout our lives. In exploring options, we came across Catalina Jean through a recommendation from our venue. I was immediately drawn into her style of editing and the true talent that came through her website and social media. Once I got to talk to her, I knew she was a great fit for us. She was incredibly kind, extremely helpful, offered guidance where needed, while also allowed us to share what was important for us day-of. “This is the third time I have used New Moon for creative photos. I wouldn't trust my vision with anyone else, not after I've seen what they can do.Laura & company really "gets" your vision and delivers. She asks what you're looking for, looks at sample photos and somehow turns your internal image board into various pieces of art.I was lucky enough to convince her to shoot my wedding, even though she doesn't do many weddings anymore, and I let her know I was looking for a "Great Gatsby" theme. I'm not even sure I knew what a Great Gatbsy theme was, but it appears New Moon certainly did. I'm sharing a few photos below so you can decide for yourself.5/5, highly recommend!“

“This place is amazing. I have fine hair and made an appointment to color my hair. Tyler took her time to ask what I wanted and provide her expert opinion. The results were amazing and what is was looking for. As we were talking she advised me on hair extensions and explained how to maintain them. I was hesitant to get extensions since I was worried it would damage my hair. It is absolutely not the case and for someone that doesn’t take much time in the morning to get ready, the additional care that is needed is minimal. I got one row and it was enough to make a huge difference in terms of how my hair looks. She did such a good job making sure the color matches and it looks natural. People in my surroundings said my hair looked different, but nobody thought i had extensions.Since I never really used to style my hair, I didn’t know how to curl my hair. I went back in and Tyler was so nice to teach me how to best curl my hair. She is simply amazing and I am so happy with the results. If you ever want to try extensions for the first time, she is the best choice to guarantee the best results!“
