This year, I decided to call Shawnalee and get a feel for her and what she would bring to the table. She is so genuine and puts you at ease immediately. I appreciated that she wanted to get to know ME. After speaking with Shawnalee, I knew she was the one and this project was something I had to do!Honestly, I was feeling a little insecure leading up to the shoot. I didn't feel I was photogenic at all, and being in my 50s, I worried about being able to pull off producing fun, confident, sexy, classy images. I thought I'd feel awkward and embarrassed. I felt like the images were celebrating not only my wisdom and growth and maturity, but also celebrating the beauty that is still evident, even at this stage of my life. “We absolutely loved our experience taking newborn photos with Zoe. She was incredibly welcoming and her studio was well equipped with everything a baby (and parent) could need. While our baby had his photos taken we could relax on the couches, have a snack or drink - which were provided for us, and just take a little (very welcome) break. Zoe was amazing at soothing our baby and calming him even when he was fussy, hungry, or needing a diaper change. She is incredibly good at what she does and clearly enjoys the entire process. Our photos are beautiful and capture our little one (and us too) at such a special time. Our first child was born during the pandemic so we never got a chance to have these experiences, it is so special that Zoe was able to capture them for us with our second.
