“If I could give more stars, I would! The best eye appointment experience I’ve ever had hands down. I will not be going anywhere else as long as this staff and this doctor are here! Such good people and so helpful and knowledgeable. Started by calling and talking with Semear about a certain pair of Dita’s that I was looking everywhere for. They happened to have one last pair in that particular style and color, and Semear offered to hold them for me to come in the next day. Semear was amazing, super friendly and extremely helpful. He got me set up with an eye exam with Dr. Jones the next week who was also incredible. I have struggled with several doctors in the past on getting my prescription dialed in due to having 2 astigmatisms. Plus every contacts prescription in the past gave me vertigo to the point where every doctor just gave up saying that “contacts just won’t work for me.” Not only did Dr. Jones immediately dial in my prescription lenses for my glasses which instantly fixed my eye strains that previous doctors just left me with, but he then found a solution for me regarding contact lenses in the same exam, all in about 30-45 minutes! I couldn’t believe it! Other doctors at other practices would make me come back weeks later just for the contacts appointment, but Dr Jones knocked it out all at once. He also conducted imagery and tests that I never knew existed with a highly detailed and well explained analysis of the overall health/structure of my eyes, and why/how my eyes work the way that they do. I learned so much about my own eye structure & health from this visit, with details that no other doctor has ever provided me before. I am so grateful for Dr. Jones and the entire staff at Spectacle PDX. For the first time in nearly 10 years, I can actually see well without having to wear glasses, and without any vertigo. It’s incredible! The vibe of this place is amazing, the best staff, the best doctor, the best equipment, a great and unique selection of frames, and to top it all off they play great music. Highly recommend!“

“My first time there, it's a small office and it feels warm and friendly. I was early and they were prompt and quick and was very thorough. Knowing what my situation was didn't try and up sale anything. They where understanding and answered all my questions and gave me what I needed to get glasses. They treated everyone that came through their door the same, didn't rush anyone and gave them the options they had. Let them take their time picking out glasses and gave their honest feed back with no pressure. It was nice to see the customer was the priority not the sale, or pressuring them. Like I have seen at other places. It was clean and well organized for the space they had. I would highly recommend them.“

“I have been coming to this practice since I was a child. It is a small and friendly place to get your eyes checked out. I have always paid out of pocket and they are very clear about pricing for everything. They have very good imaging machines and a basic selection of glasses frames.Both doctors are very friendly and personable. If you come here regularly it begins to feel a bit like family. The place is clean and a very quiet waiting room.Since COVID they do have an extra step of washing your hands when you first arrive and they keep some inner doors open for better air flow and still limit numbers a bit. You will need your mask because everyone in medical practices still need masks.They are located on Halsey and have street parking and a very small parking lot behind the building. If you have a large vehicle, I advise parking on the street.For those with mobility needs, everything is level.“

“Dr. M is a miracle worker. With her IPL and other treatments, I am symptom free of my horrible Dry Eye Syndrome. I’m not Buying expensive restasis or xidra anymore. No more chemical drops in my eyes.This office truly cares. They never rush you. They explain everything They fix the problem. Not treat the symptoms.Yes, the treatment here is not cheap but you only get one set of eyes. And now I can see with out itching, blurring, grit and pain.Dr M. Is a giant among doctors. “Went to the adult retina clinic to see Dr. Lujan. OMG the best hospital experience I've had so far (and I'm a chronic illness person with heavy hospital use). From the moment I walked in, I felt seen and taken care of. The PAS in the front was so warm and attentive. The Physician Assistant that dilated my eyes and walked me through the process were so amazing. The technician that did my retinal scan was a hoot. The poor guy that had to access my veins for contrast worked with my terrible veins, kudos for getting it in on the first try! Dr. Lujan is so knowledgeable and has amazing bedside manners. He explained everything so clearly and answered all my questions. He also referred me to another doctor for my congenital cataract surgery. Everything was so great, I left the clinic feeling like I got my answers for my very extremely rare retinal issue. Highly recommend this practice if you have anything retina related.“
