I really enjoyed the environment of this gym, the available equipment, and location was convenient from where I was staying. I am very thankful they offered the affordable week pass as my accommodation did not have a facility and I wanted to maintain my fitness routine. The manager William was lovely and made me feel so welcome every time I came in. If and when I come back to Ottawa, I know where to go!“

“Our experience at Evolve Physiotherapy has been phenomenal. As a parent of a teen involved in competitive sports I first reached out to Kristin due to a few different injuries that were starting to impact his training/sports pursuits. Kristin treated the different shoulder and neck ailments and explained to him how they were arising from specific structural/muscular deficits. Kristin devised a rehab program that quickly eased him back to training and developed an exercise program to strengthen and correct the underlying issues. Additionally, she helped him develop an individual pre-practice warm-up routine and adjust some of his ‘mandated’ training routines so that he could limit strains/avoid injury while training at high-volumes and loads. He is a far better, more knowledgeable and complete athlete after injury/rehab, than prior to. In addition to treating my son, Kristin also treated me for a knee injury that had progressed from a minor irritant to one that was preventing me from riding. Kristin devised an appropriate rehab/exercise routine that has seen me go from not being able to ride at all to riding 100+ km per week in a couple of months. Throughout all of this Kristin has combined extensive sports + physiology knowledge, compassion, explanation and follow-up. I was "going to the gym" but soon learned that that was not going to cut it for the physical testing demands of the program. (Carrying weighted chairs and backboards up/down flights of stairs).Julie was so willing to work with me and customize the program so that I would meet my goals (and I did!). “Well organized. Fairly clean. Has everything you need in a gym and very easy on your wallet. So can't complain.
Edit: I have been going to Planet Fitness for 5 months now, and I must say it is one of the best gyms I have ever joined. For $17 a month (after tax), open 24/7 for your convenience, with quality equipment you're not in a position to complain.
However, my anger, disappointment and frustration goes to the members. Not to the staff or management. Planet Fitness is like a second home to me. It is my escape. It saddens me to see how men treat the washrooms. It is a huge inconvenience especially with a person like me dealing with a physical disability and that needs to give priority to hygiene. The problem isn't the staff; they are very friendly and very prompt at helping gym members and doing their cleaning cycles in a timely manner.
Sadly the problem are the thoughtless, inconsiderate members.
If your mindset is that somebody else will clean it, at the very least, take into consideration that someone might need to use the toilet after you.
Planet Fitness is here to take care of you. For only $17 a month (not bi-weekly). Why can't you return the favor and take care of the gym as well. Why make the lives of the staff and other gym goers miserable ?“
