I kind of had higher expectations. I stayed in a suite which was huge. But, for this price range I expected better. The furniture was dated and worn out. The lightening in the bathroom is poor, if you needed to put on makeup you would need to use additional lights. The water was like warm and the sink a horrible and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. I did like the had a dorm room fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable but didn't get a blanket, it was a thin sheet. I didn't request room service the 5 days I was there. I did go to there restaurant and it was surprising good though was closed in the evenings on random days. I only ate there once. Parking was easy...read full review
I've been wanting to try the hotel here but they don't allow pets. We usually have to take my dog with us when we travel. The hotel staff was not nice about it. The casino staff were pleasant though. The lady at the players club was super nice. The casino is small.
My wife and I have wanted to visit the Artesian at Christmas for a few years. We finally made it. The hotel was wonderfully restored and had very nice decorations. The staff at check-in was friendly. We enjoyed the shops. The Springs restaurant was great (I reviewed it separately). My wife got a spa treatment at the Solerenity. Excellent. The bath house was beautiful. We went to the casino, yes it was smokey, but it was a casino. We walked in the town and realized that the April 2024 tornado had devasted a large part of the downtown area. Very sad.
