“I rarely write reviews, but I must make an exception for Garfield.
I asked Garfield to give me a second opinion on a skylight leak on my son's 100 + year old home in Cleveland Heights. They responded immediately, with an inspection and quote for the skylight issue as well as a quote for roof replacement that I requested.
The roof replacement and skylight repair quote was tens of thousands of dollars less than the quote from the first company.
While that was good news, the better news is their customer service.
The owner, Herb Schoen, came by personally on a Saturday to meet us and look at the job.
That was refreshing, but it gets better: he followed up every step of the way during the replacement. He even texted and sent progress photos while he was traveling to NYC!

“When I was was mad I said they were totally irresponsible. They put up a warped fascia board last summer, leaving a 1" gap in some places. They sent a guy out to try caulking it but it was too wide to do that. They said they'd redo it, but five months and several phone calls later, nothing has been done. Edit December 8th. It took some talking but Tony finally got someone out to work on it. It turns out that we actually would have needed a more extensive (and expensive) repair, but the first crew just put up a board and left and didn't say anything. The guy that came yesterday worked on it, explained it well, and doctored it up to where it's acceptable. I imagine they usually do ok, I had bad luck.“
