I think a lot of healthcare providers have forgotten that healthcare is not only partly providing care, but also customer service. After a less then stellar experience with a group eye care practice involving rushed exams, billing issues, and condescending attitude on correcting the billing issues, I started searching for a second opinion. I had an eye exam with the former practice, but still was experiencing eye strain and blurry vision.I made an appointment with JCPenney Optical strictly on the fact that I was going to have to pay out of pocket and the cost of the exam would be within my budget.
