This place is a nice getaway nestled on the corner and a modest salon. I must say, there was 2 customers, one getting her hair done and another was drying her nails.but they didn't turn me away either when I didn't have an appointment. I have gotten a manny and pedicure, so far twice here. The 2 different ladies who attended my needs, were both professional and detailed. They both did a fantastic job on my feet and hands. The pics are three days old and my toes are camera shy!.The prices are reasonable and won't break your bank! But I will return and take better photo's. The reason a star is missing,is because parking is a bit tricky,it's a hit or miss. But overall a good experience and they speak both English as well as Spanish.

I saw the reviews and went to hair sanctuary today and they did not disappoint. I have really coarse curly hair with damaged box dye ends and they worked with it amazingly, I went for a cut and a blowout and my stylist Diana was incredible she kept taking off length little by little to make sure I was satisfied and she blew out my hair perfectly even though it hasn’t been straightened in forever she still managed to make it look incredible. The girls are very sweet and welcoming and I will be definitely be coming back for my birthday.

I highly recommend Reyna. I am forever grateful for the care she gave me during a difficult time in my life. I was sick in hospital for several months. So one can only imagine how my hair looked. I had a colostomy bag, so it was hard for me to be around people during that time. She made accommodations so that I could come see her when no one else was around, which made my hair appointments so much better. Also, when my mom was alive, she was very patient with her.My mom had dementia which was difficult to have her sit in her chair just to get her hair done. But Reyna was very professional and attentive to my mom as well as her other clients. She is highly recommended.
It was my first time here after leaving a horrible experience at Kelly's hair salon down the block. I happened to spot this place across and ran in. I'm glad I did because she took care of me right away and cut my hair very nicely, leaving my hair still long as requested. she straightened my curly/wavy hair very well where it would last me and not curl back up by the end of the day. It also doesn't smell burnt as some places burn my hair. She was very lovely to speak with and the price was great. I will be coming back here after over a year trying to find a spot I can trust with my hair.

Before Covid over the years I was traveling to my old home (Europe) few times a year and was able to have hair cut just in time with my barber for 40 years .. And when and if I didn't get the chance , I have tried few different barbers / hair stylist on the island and in the city when I was in need of a hair cut First time i called it was just after reading an article on the news paper about new owners. They provided me with next day appointment no problem. Then came the big surprise: The owners are from istanbul and they welcome You with famous Turkish hospitality. Sakir cut my hair with no problem to my standards and usual cut , and had a big warm chat. The shop is very comfortable and there is an ample parking next to it. Despite looking an empty store from the street the guys are actually quite on their feet working back to back. So i would suggest a reservation just in case . Been there three times already and don't plan to go somewhere else for now..

This barbershop is very clean and the owner Tony keeps the shop professional and inviting to all. Walter cuts my 6 year old son’s hair as well, my son looks forward to his haircuts by Walter. I sought a new salon for my wedding nails in February 2023. I found and received excellent service from Nicole for my manis and Jessie for my pedis. My nails always look great. I have acrylic nail tips and my toes get gel polish. What a time saver to not have drying time. Shoes on and off I go. Never a smudge, chip, or lost tip. I go every 2-3 weeks for fills depending on my schedule and events. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. They can be very busy here. I always book in advance and appreciate that they are on time and not over booked.

I was gifted a massage for Mother’s Day. I’ve been to Cloud 9 countless times and always have a great experience. This one truly takes the cake. I am a physical therapist and I developed severe pain in my dominant thumb the day before my massage. Before my massage, I spoke to my LMT Simone and explained the pain I was in. Simone adjusted my massage (with my permission) and worked on my thumb for a good portion of the session. She went the extra mile to meet my needs. As I type this the next morning, I am nearly pain free. Simone was AMAZING! A true champion of customer service and expert in her field, I am so grateful!!!! Thank you Simone!

I’ve been going to Michelle lashes for collagen facials for over a year now. The atmosphere is nice & clean, the staff are just as nice! On my way out once, I asked about their lash lift service & Candy suggested I do it with her next time I come in. I did just that, and boy do I regret it. During the process, I had an uneasy feeling that she left the chemical on my lashes for too long, felt like around 25 mins before going in a 2nd time with the chemical. I was worried until I saw the end result, it looked beautiful. One looked more lifted than the other but still beautiful. However as soon as I stepped out & got in the car, I felt my lashes pressing against my lids & was so disappointed especially since their specialty is lashes. Now my lashes are over processed, it’s been 2 days since & a few lashes have fell out & I can’t do anything to fix this…Just have to wait it out for 6-8 weeks.
**UPDATE**: The owner of Michelle Lashes immediately reached out to me & was kind enough to fix the lash service for me! My right lashes are still over processed & curled, however Michelle was able to make them look presentable and as similar to each other as possible. Thank you Michelle! DRP has been wonderful from beginning to end!! Family business who takes customer service serious. Answered any and all questions I had before starting the work. I had a generator inlet put in and the guys who came to do the work were very polite and knowledgeable. Walked me thru everything they did and explained to me what I’ll have to do should we lose power. I didn’t have all the parts to my generator but when I do I will give them a call and Don (the owner) said they’d come back (AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!) and simulate a power outage to make sure I know how to work it safely. I would call them for any future electrical work that I need done and I’d recommend them to anyone.

I had them do work in my backyard adding outlets and lights. Also had them do lights and outlets inside with a bathroom remodel. Very good work and attention to detail. Ben fixed my issue with a possible gas leak for a Wolf gas range. He stated it's not a gas leak (like gas company mentioned) and just a wire adjustment for the computer. He's very professional with honest service pricing and gets the job done! I am so glad I found him on Yelp and saved me thousands of dollars on a new stove.
I used this company as part of the Choice Home Warranty Service Plan for my oven range when it stopped working. The technician was a true professional and figured out the issue pretty quickly, ordered the parts, and fixed them as part of the second visit. They were very quick in responding to text messages (they really raised the bar as the average response time was less than 5 minutes every time). Overall, it was a great experience with this company. ( I had to deal with other agencies in the past as part of CHW and 90% of them had no clue what they were doing.)

Great experience and outcome! Just had the carpet replaced in almost the entire house, and couldn’t be happier. The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. Jimmy was so nice to work with. He measured and then got the process started really quickly. He even gave us samples to take home to look at in different rooms/lighting to make sure we absolutely loved what we were picking. Three installers came and did the entire job in one day. They worked super efficiently and removed all the old carpet and padding. They also moved furniture and the stair railings, which they put back exactly how they found them. Today was day one for installation of my new kitchen floor. I cannot say more about the professionalism, skill, and sheer hard work by the two workers, Enrique and David. Their supervisor John even stopped by to check on things. My 30 year old floor had some bumps and was not totally even. I had previously been told it would be a problem by both Empire Carpet and Home Depot.

We hired Jay-Quin Contracting to completely renovate our bathroom. They were recommended by a couple of people we knew and had good on-line reviews. We met with Jay and he gave us an estimate for the work to be done. Due to COVID, our renovation was pushed back but the supply chain was slow so by the time we were ready to go, we had our items lined up. Jay was very patient and has a very even and easy going personality which I found comforting. He listened to both my husband and I, he heard what we envisioned and also made suggestions. Our home is almost 100 years old and although the bathroom had been renovated about 30 years ago, we were still nervous about what would be uncovered. Luckily, everything was good and the installation of walls, tiles and floors went off without a hitch. There were minor, post-renovation issues and Jay was eager to make the changes necessary to make us happy. Jay and his staff worked very clean and took the time to cover all areas and clean-up before they left. I have, in the past, had bad experiences with contractors. In May of 2023, my husband and I bought our first home, and we hired Vinny to transform our front-yard and backyard. In the back, he and his team removed the old deck, graded, sodded, and added mulch and top soil to the yard, and in the front, he re-sodded, added new top soil, mulch, and flowers. A neighbour has a half dead tree in his backyard which is not maintained - pruned, etc. During a recent storm the wind wrenched a 20 foot long limb from the tree, depositing it in my backyard, damaging my fence in the process. I reached out to one tree service and the owner came and said the limb came off of the tree in my yard and that the tree was dead and if not removed could do more damage due to its proximity to my house. He quoted me a price of $3500 to remove it. I reached out to Neumann's Tree Service (the German name is anglicized to Newman in terms of pronunciation) to get a additional quote. Tom Neumann came to my home and said the limb was from the neighbour's tree and pointed to where it had broken free. I could clearly see the spot Tom mentioned. So I asked him if my tree posed a threat to my house. He said, "There's nothing wrong with that tree but you may want to prune it" as it was brushing against the aforementioned neighbour's house. He quoted us a price of $550 - a bit easier to part with than the previous quote of $3500. The work was delayed a week due to the sudden arctic blast which included freezing rain and snow. When Tom's guys came they were efficient, professional and great about cleaning up after the downed limb was removed and healthy tree pruned. One thing to keep in mind: the truck they use is big and has a mulcher attached to its rear bumper so you will want to secure a place for the men to park the equipment. To wrap up: it was a good and enlightening experience. Tom is knowledgeable and honest and his men do a great job for a fair price. Kudos.
Called G&R for an estimate. Glen came that day. Looked over the property gave us an estimate, we agreed He came 3 days later and Glen and his crew did an amazing job, professional all the way cleaned up all over. Will definitely hire again and recommend.

Today I visited Dr Scaffa’s office for the 1st time. If you have anxiety like I do. It all went away as soon as I entered the door ,Was greeted by the front desk staff Chris & Donna. They answered all my questions.
Dr Scaffa is a gentleman. He’s very nice and down to earth.
Hygienist Kristen is great too. She’s Soft spoken and explained what she was going to do. I had zero anxiety throughout this visit.

The staff is exceptional! They make the kids feel so special. My kids, 5 and 7, LOVE going to the dentist. In our recent visit Deb was the assistant and my kids had such a nice time with her. She really took the time to make them feel special and explain each step. Camille was fantastic with the cleaning. My kids thought it was painless and she was so complimentary on their brushing skills! Dr. Merlino is the BEST she takes time to go to their school and teach about dental hygiene. She has a great personality and makes it a wonderful experience for kids and parents!

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. They are all so caring and warming plus be does great work!. If it wasn't for him I would've lost a few teeth due to poor grade dentist before him. Not only did he save my teeth but they are all improving. Yes I can goto a dentist for free but he's worth every penny and I'll never go anywhere else. I still have a fear of dentist but not when it comes to them. I trust them and they make sure I am OK . First time I met Dr. Sciascia was about 6 or 7 years ago, I couldn’t walk or even cross the street without feeling this horrible pain and when I looked him up I scheduled an appointment I was given right away once I arrived I was crying with the pain I had, he told me don’t worry we’re going to take care of you. I had consultation visit, had X-rays done and found out I had two pinched nerves, as soon as he took care of me I started to feel better I started to walk better instantly I was so relieved. I stopped seeing him for 3 years I was neglecting my Health, so again I went back to him and started my care with him again. He’s such a Great caring Dr. and has such a wonderful personality and his staff is as amazing as he is. I would greatly recommend him and guarantee his warmth and kindness as well as his experience to help and support you in any situation! I give him and his staff a five Stars Rating ! Dr. Bracco has helped me tremendously. I first started going to him due to persistent back pain that started spreading/affecting my arms. Within 2 weeks (possibly less), I almost forgot about the pain in my arms AND the back pain was almost completely gone. Anyone reading this review should note that my pain was due to a misaligned spine and I expected a "longer" recovery time to begin with. Also, Dr. Bracco is incredibly professional and patient. He will slowly explain what's needed for a successful recovery.
The staff here demonstrates the upmost professionalism with their patients. Their knowledge, bedside manner as well kindness definitely shows with how each patient is treated. Dr. Habib is absolutely wonderful and takes the time to listen to his patients to effectively treat them. If you have any issues or concerns with your back or in need of PT, this is without a doubt the best place to go.
My experience with Dr. Germino has been great. Very pleasant, professional, excellent bedside manner. Entire staff are welcoming. Very accommodating when scheduling. The entire office is kept extremely clean. I highly recommend his care.

I had been dealing with golfers elbow for almost two years. I've spent thousands in physical therapy, PRP injections, chiropractors and physical therapy. Within minutes of being examined by Dr. Steve, he diagnosed my pain as being referred from my neck. Within two weeks of treatment and shockwave therapy, I'm virtually pain free and back to the gym! Not only is he an awesome doctor, he's a great guy. I highly recommend!

The woman at check-in desk just right of the entrance door is so friendly. Brittany, who I see, is always thorough, efficient, & friendly. She has me in and out quickly. The other staff that I briefly interact with are friendly. Wait time is generally not too bad. Waiting room and exam rooms are clean & bright. There is a small parking lot which is nice.
Took care of a cyst I had right away so helpful and quick if you want something taken care of come here for sure !
I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Social distancing was practiced in the waiting room. I was seen by Dr. Kahn pretty quickly and he was very nice and he took his time and explained everything to me. I will be returning in 6 months for a follow up
Dr. Pugliese and staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. I brought two of my bearded dragons here (bless their souls) and my beautiful Sulcata Tortoise here and she’s taken good care of them and shares the same passion for exotics and reptiles like I do. She isn’t the typical arrogant Doctor that claims to know it all, she isn’t afraid to tell you she doesn’t know something and she’ll do a lot of research to give you the right information about how to treat your animal. She is also very affordable compared to other vets I went to. She is definitely my go to whenever one of my reptiles get sick, I wish I can give her 10 stars!!

I took my dog here to get a dental cleaning/tooth extractions because he had bad plaque in his teeth. Due to his age of 12 years, I was very nervous about having this procedure done but the doctors and staff here did a wonderful job with him. They really care about the animals and they are very reasonable. I will be bringing all of my animals here moving forward
Dr Rubinstein is the most wonderful vet. My baby angel was going to him 19 years until the horrible day i had to put her down, which dr Rubinstein did for me.I'd recommend him to anyone. He's kind. Professional and most of all caring .
A caring compassionate care giver. He came to evaluate my 12yr old Lab after he was not responding well to meds after an ICU stay. Unfortunately a few weeks later my pup took a turn for the worse and Dr Astarbi returned to euthanize him. He was so patient & understanding, performing this final act of kindness in the comfort of my pups bed made it SO MUCH LESS STRESSFUL. Thank you Dr Astarbi

We just started coming here, after decades of traveling across the island to Forest Animal Hospital, due to their close proximity to our home. The few times we visited so far the staff were caring and thoughtful. Dr. D is knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything he was doing.
Dr. Battiato is such a kind, caring and compassionate vet. He truly cares about your beloved pet and his prices are very reasonable. It took me awhile to find a vet whom I felt comfortable with and could trust. He saved my diabetic cat's life and has taken excellent care of both my cats. In addition, the techs are very loving and reassuring as well. I wouldn't take my kitties anywhere else!!!

4Paws is an excellent doggie daycare and boarding facility! I have left my mini aussie Shepherd Lenny there numerous times. Joe, the manager, is always reassuring in how my Lenny will be treated. I also see how he directs his staff to accommodate the dogs in positive ways. I like how the staff makes it fun with always celebrating birthdays or having events to celebrate the holidays that our dogs can participate in!
I have been to over.a dozen groomers over the years with my Yorkiepoo Rascal, Ning by far is the best groomer that we have been to. Rascal has never looked so good. Rascal will be seeing him again

Today was my first time at Yoga Nook Studio, and I was thoroughly impressed. The studio itself is beautiful and well-organized, creating a serene and welcoming environment from the moment you walk in.Nicole, the instructor, did an excellent job teaching the class. I came in with a persistent neck problem and left not only feeling energized but also pain-free. Her approach to teaching is both gentle and effective, making it accessible for all skill levels.The only thing I would suggest is perhaps incorporating a slightly more intense class option for those looking for a bit more challenge. However, even with that in mind, my experience was outstanding. I give Yoga Nook Studio a well-deserved 5 stars!

I scheduled a bridal hair and makeup appointment with Renee. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was kind and welcoming. Renee listened to what I wanted and made my dreams come true with a beach half up hair style and beautiful makeup. She paid close attention to detail, made sure I was comfortable throughout, and was very efficient. Even with a very rainy day, my hair and makeup held up remarkably well. Heard about this place about 6 years ago from a friend when my mom had a bunch of herniated discs and issues with her sciatica. She had been to many doctors who either suggested options that didn’t work, were too expensive or would make her pain worse! So she decided to give physical therapy a chance. After a few sessions with Alex, she was able to walk again and eventually recover. Ever since then, I’ve decided to start taking care of my chronic back pain with advanced rehabilitation’s help. I’ve basically become a regular. Not only are they great at their jobs but they always make me feel like family when I walk in. Very accommodating with hours and always help me out when I’m having an emergency. I would recommend this place to anyone who has pain! Jason and Arkadiy are also wonderful!
I've been coming here for years anytime I've had a problem. Larry is very knowledgeable in what he does and is a very caring professional. Their staff are very professional and friendly also. The entire office is very clean and organized. On street parking isn't too bad but they do have a small FOR PATIENTS ONLY lot in the rear.
Excellent CDL driving school! During the training, consulting and support, Daria very politely and in detail explained everything, no questions arose. During the practical training, I managed to study with 3 different instructors, all experienced, excellent and understanding guys, you can learn from anyone, in particular, I can especially note the instructor Igor, he gave me valuable knowledge and clearly explained all the nuances during the training process! All those students who will approach the training responsibly, will diligently study PTI, listen carefully to the instructors and delve into the processes of driving a truck are guaranteed to succeed! Excellent driving school, support and instructors, I definitely recommend! And I wish further development and growth of this company!

Hi Im gonna be honest from my experience when I bought the 6 lesson package and they were a waste cause the first and second day was the instructor explaining and it was a waste cause I had a friend who had a different driving school and he gained more experience then me and we both bought 6 lessons and saw who had the more value which was my friend. All I wanted to say is up to you if you want to waste your money and there gonna say your gonna need more classes since your not ready also I'm giving a 5 star so everyone could see it and Spoiler some of the 5 star are self promotion. Hopefully they could step up there game cause it was a waste
Drive Rite in Staten Island is an awesome choice for driving courses. I was always afraid of driving and postponed learning this skill for the longest- i’m a bit of a late learner now being in my 30’s. Word of advice- don’t postpone and just do it! ✅From the very beginning, the receptionist Kim provided a warm and welcoming introduction that made me feel at ease with signing up. She never pressured me or tried to sell me anything, but was very clear in explaining what to expect from the packages and helped me book some of my classes on the spot. I had Sujata as my instructor throughout all my lessons and she is the best! She is patient, friendly, positive, and provided really good tips to make me confident in passing the road test. She taught me good tricks to use for parallel parking that made it a breeze, which is what many people tend to struggle with!I’m happy to share that after several months, I was able to pass the road test on the first try. ?The key is to keep practicing consistently, not to have too many gaps in between, and to believe in yourself. ?If I ever need more refresher lessons, I would definitely consider coming back. Would highly recommend Drive Rite and Sujata for new drivers or anyone aiming to refine their skills. ?
Wonderful school with extremely nice people working there. My daughter was happy since her first driving lesson. Instructors are very patient, which is very important while you learning. Lots of support! My daughter passed her driving test from the 1st attempt!

I reached out to Phil and he changed his schedule around last minute to help her by giving her last minute lessons and taking her to the Roadtest. His expertise is exceptional and she passed!!!!

Even though I only had Mike for one lesson he was a massive help in preparation for my road test. His way of parallel parking was the most consistent for me. He’s personable, funny, and a great instructor. I primarily had Laura and had Mansur for two lessons. They both set me up for success aswell. Can’t go wrong with this school as long as you stay proactive when setting up the dates for your lessons.
