They got the job done, but they did not do it well or make it easy. My son needed a helmet and started wearing it around the end of December with the initial estimate being to finish around mid February (roughly six weeks). However, we after awhile the helmet did not fit well when it would fall over his eyes and bridge of his nose when he slept sometimes. We were advised to not wear the helmet overnight and eventually he got a second helmet. The second helmet had the same issue and the process repeated and we received a third helmet the beginning of February, which was not far off from the original estimate for when we'd be done. Somehow, despite my son wearing the helmet while awake/during naps the estimate was still six weeks, which I don't understand at all since he had spent nearly six weeks already wearing it for about half the time. I never got a good explanation of how the time remained unchanged aside from a weak one that since he's older (he was less than six months when we started and would be over six months by mid February) the estimate goes up. The third helmet had the same issue after a month or so, but he had made enough progress that we finished two weeks later in the beginning of April. As you can imagine, it's not the most fun thing for my son to wear a helmet over his head and the fact that a month and half was wasted doing nothing was unacceptable in my opinion. I was told that this is very, very rare for them to need to order three helmets, but even if that is true it does nothing for me and I can only speak to my experience. Overall, there were way too many excuses on Cranial's side, which I did not find professional. As professionals, they should have taken accountability. They tried to pin it on him shifting during sleep even though he didn't roll over at all in his sleep during the first two helmets. I think that's a rather weak explanation since I'm sure many other babies moved just as much, if not more. Another "reason" they tried to give was that he had an odd head shape. It's not like he's shaped like Stewie Griffin and even if he was you guys are the professionals and should know how to deal with it. The biggest excuse they gave was that it was the manufacturer of the helmet's fault. The pictures and measurements they were giving the manufacturer were good, but the specifications came back slightly off, leading to the helmet slipping. Again, I don't find that to be an acceptable excuse. It's their manufacturer that they chose. The key words there are "they chose". They made the choice so they should be accountable to that. It does not instill confidence in me when they try to shift the blame even though it was their very own choice. Also, they attempted a weak appeasement when I mentioned how it was supposed to be done mid Feb and now it looked like six weeks from beginning of Feb. They said that as parents we can choose when to end treatment. Again, that strikes me as passing the buck. They are paid, licensed, trained, medical professionals. They should have science and actual information behind their recommendations. I don't have that since I'm not trained on the matter. Obviously, I want it done as soon as possible, but I also want it done right. Instead of pushing it back to me, recommend what's best for the patient and what's best for the patient is not for well-meaning, but untrained parents to choose when to stop treatment. One last thing that I did not appreciate was when they were taking measurements for the third time of my son's head to get the last helmet. They make him sit still for awhile with what I can only describe as a panty hose-esque thing over his face. My wife was lamenting how he keeps having to take these pictures and getting new helmets. One of the women in the room (who I believe works at the front desk) just remarked with "It happens." I don't know what she thought she was doing, but after a month and half of setbacks that I blame Cranial for

We visited cranial technologies for our son's plagiocephaly when he was 4 months. I can honestly say that we couldn't have even dreamt of better experience than what we had.We had Allison as our primary contact and she is an amazing person. My baby would light up everytime he saw her. She was so gentle with him and he loved going for his weekly appointments. She was very informative and always helping us with our concerns. We were actually a little sad when we finished, because we won't see her every week anymore. At the reception, Nancy was a gem. She helped us navigate through the process and scheduling and was always ready to accommodate us.On our last day, they even...read full review

I can not express how amazing the staff is. They are absolutely incredible with the babies and parents as well. They are very informative and so kind. They definitely make a new helmet experience easier. The office is always very clean and very spacious and updated. I recommend anyone who needs a helmet for their baby should definitely go here!
