Aikido Kokikai of Rochester

Aikido Kokikai of Rochester teaches the principles of Sensei Shuji Maruyama, founder of Aikido Kokikai®. Founded in 1984, our dojo operates as an all volunteer organization with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We have a beautiful, spacious dojo in the historic Post Office building on Cumberland Street. Our chief instructors are 5th degree black belts, each with over 25 years of experience. Aikido Kokikai® is an effective martial art with roots in Samurai sword techniques. Its principles assume larger and stronger attackers and therefore is designed to be effective for people of all sizes. We'd love to have you try Aikido Kokikai® for yourself. Your first few lessons are free and you can start in any of our regularly scheduled classes.
