I usually do my hair with one hair stylist and he always gets my color right, so I don't risk in any other place. They are very honest to me and recommend treatments that will make my hair healthy and avoid damage. This past Friday I was treated like a queen, I got a free make-up, they offer snacks and coffee. I got a discount in my haircut as well. They always go above and beyond my expectations. Exceptional customer service and personalized experience!

I recently got a balayage done at Riva Salon and I loved the whole experience. The staff first welcomed me with a cup of coffee and during my hair consultation, my stylist listened to my wants and preferences. She was also able to answer all my questions I had on how to take care of my color. I asked for a chocolate brown balayage and I loved the outcome of it. I showed her an inspiration picture and she actually did a complete copy and paste of the color!! After my hair was done I got one of the BEST BLOWOUTS EVER!!! The style/volume lasted until my next wash. Definitely recommend, price to value ratio is well worth it!!

I showed her a reference photo for the sort of traditional barber style haircut I like to get and she was able to match it perfectly. It was a great experience and I highly recommend her.

This is a really great hair salon. My 9 year old loved his haircut. The person that worked with him was very patient and did a great job. It was a pleasant surprise to find a place that I thought worked mainly with adults being so good with children. They have games to play with while waiting. Love my barber Barry, very cool & skillful. I use to get my haircut from him when I was natural, I went back to relaxing my hair and paying a fortune to the hairdressers. So now I do my relaxer & color and I go to Barry to get the cut, saving $$$. There's also 2 ladies who braids hair in just few hours.

I highly recommend a visit to Mellow Nails. As the name says, the entire experiencing is so relaxing. The owner Grace is so kind- she remembered me from just one prior visit I made to the salon almost three months ago. They are meticulous with painting nails but also very clean!

After 7 months of growing out my prior dyed hair, Lucy brought my hair back to life! We didn’t think it was possible since a lot of hair salons wouldn’t want to bleach over previously dyed hair but, after being patient and working through it, Lucy rejuvenated my hair into a chocolatey-caramel mixture which looks similar to what I wanted. She did an excellent job and I will definitely go back.

I used to go to a brow place in Manhattan, but they didn't offer vegan waxes, so I could only ever get tweezing, and the cost was over $35 each time. Kristine does offer vegan waxes and is a relative bargain, and is so convenient as well. I am so glad to have found her.
So it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax with butt strip, not only was the price for a first timer amazing but so was the water...She's incredibly supportive and understanding... she tells you what to expect and she is spot on... she is very sanitary and professional, I trusted her completely and will definitely be returning... parking is not hard to find either!

I’d like to highly recommend Lina’s Lashes. I first found her last year after discovering the sign to her shop as I walked past it. I was less than happy with the job done at a competing eyelash studio in Queens, that also has a good reputation. I began seeing her and she’s done beautiful work, each time. Sometimes we choose to scale it up and do a dramatic look, at other times we keep it simple as I mostly wear glasses. I have been getting my ear piercings from here for a long time now. Yesterday, I got my 3rd piercing. I still have the 2 piercing I did years ago which healed perfectly and still stayed the same, I had no issues with it. Peter took great care and explained everything so well. I mentioned to him I have sensitive skin, he recommended the best ones for my ear. He’s an expert!! I’m very afraid of needles, I usually avoid the doctors to get my vaccines but here I feel safe and in good hands. Won’t go anywhere else other than this place. Highly recommend going here!!!
I just got my lobe piercings reopened here today, and it was a great experience! Lydia was very nice and professional. She made sure to walk me through the process and the aftercare. The piercing was done so well that they barely even stung after the procedure. The studio is very clean and makes sure to properly dispose of used needles. The prices were also very good: $20 per earlobe piercing is very affordable! Will definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend to others!

I decided yesterday to get my first tattoo at 65 y.o. Rachel was able to give me an appointment earlier today. She was gentle and thorough and the tattoo was exactly what I requested (taken from a card given to me by my favorite actor/musician). She explained each step and provided detailed aftercare instructions for someone with an autoimmune system. The place was empty when l got there but I could see how it could get pretty busy. It was well lit and clean. If I get another one I will certainly go back to her.

WONDERFUL PEOPLE! WONDERFUL SERVICE! I have a unique plumbing situation in my Manhattan apartment. My water system is separate from the building I live in. I have struggled for years to find a company that will work on my water system at all-let alone do competent work. My Super found Sideris Plumbing for me after a different plumbing company, a company who installed a pressure pump for me only 3 years earlier, refused to service that same pump! I called and Kimona (who I assume is the office manager) promptly returned my call for service and she was professional and pleasant and kind! Kimona arranged for John to come out and fix ALL my water problems. I had a real mess on my hands. By the time everything was fixed, I met 4 different guys. ALL friendly and ALL professional. And my water pressure and hot water has never been better. I really had no idea that I had been living with poor water pressure and poorly working hot water. It was a complicated job and they did amazing work in miserably hot conditions. Kimona did a wonderful job of both communicating when the guys would arrive to work on the water system and the cost of parts and labor. I have never been happier with a company hired to work on my apartment. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I have a large city owned tree in front of my house. I call companies yearly to snake my sewer line to prevent backups into my home. For the past 2-3 years I've had 2 backups per year- this was abnormal. After my last back up I decided to call another company to clear my backup. I was told that its soap grease. I'm not a plumber but if this is the case, there would be flooding all over NYC. I then decided that I wanted someone to look in my sewer line and check for any obstruction. I called other companies and I was quoted $1,500 to have a video of my sewer line done...ridiculous and unaffordable. Then I found Will Do Plumbing and I was given an affordable alternative...photos. I was able to watch the plumber go through my sewer line and view the video as it was being done and take photos . The roots were thick and took up half of the pipe circumference. They were able to pin point the location of the two invasive roots from this city owned tree. I walked with them outside and they showed me the areas that had blockage. I rescheduled another appointment with Will Do Plumbing to have these root branches taken care of and the price was less than the $1,500 I was quoted by other companies to just have a video taken. My experience from my initial appointment call to the office, the plumbers showed up on time both times, they were very respectful of my home and discussed with me everything there were doing. Elan did a great job installing the lock on my front door. He walked me through the different types of locks and helped me decide what was best for my door. When there were issues with the door due to the previous installation unrelated to him, he went out of his way to fix those issues without extra charge. His rate is very reasonable and he is very responsive. I called him in the morning and despite it not being an emergency, he swung by in the evening. A year later, he came by for a free maintenance test to make sure the lock was working well. I would recommend Elan if you need a locksmith.

Edwin was punctual and extremely professional. My marble bathrooms were neglected for over 20 years. Grout was missing in the shower floors in addition to most corners. The existing grout was black and there were stains in multiple places. Now the bathrooms look close to new. Grout is back to its original color and stains were either eliminated or much, much paler than they were before.

Superb! I called and spoke with Lisa. She placed my nerves at ease right away and addressed my concerns. My partner and I moved from a roach free Ridgewood apartment to one with occasional roaches in Glendale. I was doing everything I could to prevent them, but it still wasn’t enough. Every other week I would see baby and adult roaches despite my best efforts. Lisa explained the process in detail and assured me that my Senior cat would be ok during the extermination. The exterminator showed up timely calling both my husband and I. The exterminator was in and out of our apartment in less than an hour and did his job thoroughly. Great service and suggestions were also provided. Fingers crossed for zero roaches in our apartment moving forth.
We hired Bug Techs Pest Control to get rid of a large wasp nest that had been growing on our property. They provided a 30 day warranty and a few weeks later the wasps were starting to build another nest nearby. Bug techs pest control came back and removed the nest. They were very professional and helpful.

I have mixed feelings about this office. Dr. Liu was very pleasant, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable during my initial consultation.
However, when I returned for my cleaning, I was somewhat disappointed. The hygienist, although nice and good at cleaning, seemed rushed and inattentive to the suction. I felt like I was choking on water and had to signal to be able to swallow. I hadn't experienced this with previous cleanings. Hygienists typically pay attention to suctioning the water. After the cleaning, I was so wet that blood-stained water seeped through the bib and stained my clothes.
It's possible that I'll try a different hygienist on my next visit.

Hi, I've been to many doctors in the past few years, including other chiropractors and tried spinal decompression. Dr. Robert had me breathing relief within minutes of my first session. Blood flow and concentration greatly improved (the fog). He will laugh but later that first night, my body was already in healing mode and DEMANDED I drink a gallon or so of milk and orange juice or something. I needed nutrients - vitamin D, calcium?? Whatever it was, I retained most of the fluids, so... His treatment is different compared to other chiropractors. He specializes in the upper cervical care but offers full spinal care*.
My Atlas, C1 was off and threw my whole body off. This doctor is also compassionate, observant, and utilizes technology to get a better view and take accurate measurements of where you are 'off center.' No other doctor I had been to does that, nor do they understand. My physical didn't reveal 'other issues,' like they tested me up the wazoo for (neurologists, orthopedists, sports doctors, all utilizing either xrays or MRIs of my spine and not picking up what his in-house xrays did - OR - not previously being read by the radiologists with better effort nor care). Ok, minor* cholesterol advisement, big deal, I knew the K-Pot had done me in juuust a bit. I eat healthily, otherwise.

I want to thank Dr. Cori and her team for being a pivotal factor in healing my son's asthma. My five year old was diagnosed with asthma last December 2023 and placed on steroids/nebulizer. This was beyond heartbreaking to me as no one in my or my husband's family has had asthma. As a life-long believer in naturopathic and holistic remedies, I know the Western approach was a temporary bandage and that I had to find another way to help my son heal and remove the medications. After a month of working with Dr. Cori and drastically cleaning up his diet (organic, no processed foods, removing sugars) my son was no longer dependent on the nebulizer. Dr. Acevedo is a great chiropractor with a lot of experience and good human treatment, very kind, empathetic, and professional who, thanks to him, helped me with my scoliosis, back pain, neck pain, bad walking and bad posture for me. condition.
The Dr performed the corresponding exams and I started with therapies several times a week and after a few months I noticed the results of the therapies, with a lot of improvement in the spine, the neck and back pain went away, I walk better thanks to the insole, and I sleep better thanks to the orthopedic pillow.

Dr. Chan was very attentive and took the time tounderstand my concerns. She was clearly explained, and I felt confident in their expertise.
Came in for an appointment as oer my primary care physician who insisted that i visit them. This was just a check up anf follow up for my keloids. I met with Dr phoebe Tam, who was very caring and engaging. Theu did a skin check up for cancers, moles and any abnormalities. All went well but they did recommend either laser treatment for my sun spots or to use a chemical treatment. By the way neither treatments are covereded by my insurance. I am currently looking at the chemical treatment as it would be the least expensive. I was advise to look into using silicone scar sheets for my skin. Oversll it was a very thorough examination. Parking was very difficult, we had to oark like 3 bloxks away from the main street.

THIS IS MY LATEST REVIEW (10/28/2024)
A little over a week ago (October 20th, 2024 ~ 1AM), my sweet boy Balto passed away. Although these things are always tragic and hurt beyond words can express, I was fortunate to know that God had put amazing folks like THE ENTIRE STAFF at Howard Beach Animal Clinic PC, in our lives to be here for HIM and us (my family) for the time we had left with him.
Due to spiritual reasons, putting him down was never an option for me when it came to making decisions and monitoring his health. Dr. Rodriguez and the team never made me feel judged or shame for the decision (because ultimately we all cared about him and didn't want him to suffer too much due to his cancer) however, it was always something advised, they understood why I couldn't go that route and I APPRECIATE YOU ALL wholeheartedly for never putting me in that position on top of the other factors I was contending with.
We knew the diagnosis was terminal however, treating it as a hospice type situation was always the route I wanted to take-- make my boy as comfortable as he can be and have him pass away at home surrounded by those he love and those who love him. That's exactly how it happened (after all the pain and discomfort)-- he found peace.
Everyone shared such beautiful sentiments about him and I am so touched by how much this clinic truly cares. It speaks volumes that he was remembered for more than just being one of the challenging fur babies they'd have their hands full with-- but that they truly are animal lovers here and they just want to do what's best.

I am saddened to see any negative reviews pertaining to this animal clinic.
Anyways, this review is LOOOOOOONG overdue.
I have a very very difficult, massive, aggressive Alaskan Malamute.
Sometime last year, he had an abscess type situation erupt in his neck area. His vet at the time really wanted nothing to do with it, and kind of left us hanging high and dry.
In a panic with no clue where to go and what to do, I stumbled across Howard Beach Animal Clinic PC online. I called them up, explained my situation, and they said come on over.
They treated the situation as an emergency visit (there was an additional charge, but totally worth it to be accommodated so quickly). Dr. Rodriguez and her care team were AMAAAAZINGGGGG!! I cannot stress enough how at ease they put me, improvising and comfortable with any/ all measures needed to deal with my difficult to deal with Alaskan Malamute.
We followed up for the 2 week follow up and all was well. Then last month, Dr. Rodriguez and her team handled his annual physical, where she found a mass near his anus and she guided me through the steps of the findings and what comes next.
This hasn't been easy. Having a pet who needs to be sedated for appointments since I've had him... EVERYONE at Howard Beach Animal Clinic has made this so easy, to take care of him and monitoring his health.
I cannot thank them enough. From the girls at the front desk, to the support team in and out of the rooms, to the technicians and the doctors themselves. I thank God everyday that we found you guys.

First met her in 2023 for a second opinion on my older dog's knee a few weeks after moving to the neighborhood. She made time to see my dog same day and gave excellent advice and referrals to a fantastic vet surgery practice in Brooklyn. I immediately started coming to CityVet first for everything.
In early 2024 she made a quick second diagnosis that another vet at her practice had missed, then performed the needed minor surgery on my dog herself with excellent results that immediately cleared up the issue.
Front desk is generally very responsive in person and over email, most recently going out of their way to follow up multiple times when PetSmart kept botching my flea/tick approval and helped me switch to Chewy.

I don’t understand the negative reviews about this place. Everything on the website was clear about pricing and booking appointments. I booked mine online and was seen next day. I scheduled a physical to get my cat spayed. Two days later I was booked for her surgery. Everyone was extremely helpful. From the woman at the front desk to anyone else that handled my cat. After her surgery, I was unable to pick my cat up due to work so I gave them a call ask if someone else can get her for me and they were very accommodating regarding my situation. Today, they called me to follow up and make sure my cat was doing well after surgery. Great people, amazing service! Thank you guys again.

The most amazing place. Other places made my dog sick with anxiety at PPP they do one or 2 dogs at a time and we're finally able to have a good grooming experience for our standard poodle. We drive all the way from the Hudson valley to get him groomed here!!
My experience with Faith's Pet Spa has been excellent, its owner Cristina is a very professional, punctual, careful, loving person and most importantly, she is very sweet with my dog. She is very impeccable in her work and it is for that reason that I love taking Inca there because she makes her beautiful. I recommend her because she does an excellent job grooming my fur baby.
I am so happy how Marie’s grooming took care of Charlie. They did such a good job on my boy. The staff is so nice and made myself and my dog very comfortable. They cut his hair and took care of absolutely everything from his hair, nails, ears and teeth. I would recommend everyone who has a dog to take them to Marie’s grooming without hesitation. Mr. Simon has been indescribably helpful! I have recently been having the most intense neck and shoulder pain--where I would have to lean my head back and tilted at the weirdest angles to stay comfortable. I did some intense research and found Mr. Simon at his Union Square location. Mr. Simon is a phenomenal physical therapist because he did not just focus on my neck, he focused on me as a patient as a whole. He is very deliberate and thoughtful, and works with you to create a physical therapy plan beyond just coming in for a neuromuscular massage. With his suggestions, established care plans, and Neuromuscular therapy combined, my neck and shoulder pain isn't just totally under control--it's gone. Highly recommend!
Barbara was wonderful. I had my first prenatal massage with her and it left me feeling lighter and relaxed. She took the time to understand my problem areas before getting started and really took her time to target those areas. I definitely felt the difference in my feet swelling after the massage. Will definitely be back for another appt!

1) Lily and Jenny are talented massage therapists. They give a strong massage but don't hurt you.
2) I text my appointment request and receive text confirmation which makes scheduling easy.
3) The establishment is clean and the rooms are a good size.
4) The bathroom is clean.
5) There is plenty of street parking.
6) The price is reasonable. I buy the 10 visit package which reduces the price a bit more too.
7) Lily is friendly and always makes you feel welcome. She cares about her business and her customers.
8) They play nice relaxing music so it feels peaceful.
9) It is not on a busy street so there isn't a lot of street noise or drop-in customers disturbing your massage.
10) They provide a mini water bottle afterwards. Sanitary and a nice touch.

I had a 30' session of what seemed like deep tissue massage, expertly done! I could already breathe easier during the session and felt so much better afterwards! A hidden gem! I have been looking for a zen massage experience for a while and then sumbled upon House Of Wellness. And it is only 4 blocks from my house. I wanted to do something special for my husband for our anniversary so I booked a massage for both of us. Upon entering, your blood pressure goes down. It is super relaxing and the therapists greet you with such warmth. It is super clean and zen. Great experience and so relaxing. I will definitely be going back!
Its been about two months since my first appointment here (via Groupon) and I've become a bit of a regular. I will start, however, by saying this is not some high end, hoity-toity place. Come for the attentive treatment, friendly staff-- Monica treats you like family almost instantly. It's more casual than your traditional spa. I feel less bloating and water retention overall and am especially happy with the difference I'm seeing in my more 'problem' areas.
We booked a couples massage for 11am. As soon as we got in and told them about our appointment, we were immediately walked to our room. Everything was setup and both masseuse were also ready to see us. I wish we took both our masseuses' names because they were really good. We got the 1hr body massage and 30 min foot massage.
I love this place. They do amazing acupuncture work. I couldn’t recommended them higher. The office manager is lovely and always puts the patients first. Kazu is a phenomenal acupuncturist and he’s done incredible work.
Dr. Mah and the staff here are truly wonderful. Dr. Mah takes the time to try and figure out what is wrong, and he’s patient and effective. There is parking in the morning with no issues, the office is neat, and their resources help with back pain.
With my wife’s case, it’s not the typical cookie cutter low back disc bulge, workers comp case. Dr. Mah has been more attentive than most neurologists, orthopedic, and pain management doctors. They just prescribe pills. We’re still searching for answers, however, her condition has improved under his care.

I have been coming to this location for a few months now, I have had the massage therapy, accupunture, and facials done. I have enjoyed all of these services! The facials are great, the facialist is very thorough in clensing and massaging the face, it's very relaxing and great if you have problem skin or acne. The acupuncture is great as well, they do acupuncture for different reasons - I have done the acupuncture for weight loss, as well as for pain in different parts of my body. The acupuncture for the pain is amazing, you get immediate relief of pain upon having the acupuncture completed. The massage therapy is great as well, it's very relaxing and you feel great when the therapist is done, the therapist will also work with you to focus on your needs at every visit. Overall, this is an amazing place to go to for your therapy needs, everone is so friendly, kind, pleasant, and helpful. I recommend everyone that I know to come to this location, and I will continue to be a frequent visitor here.
This place is very good and has helped me a lot. The facilities are very nice and all the equipment is good as well. The guy working there Yash is a very nice gentleman, he gives me a very nice therapy massage and is helping me with my shoulder and hip, I give him 5 stars and the place 5 stars too. Very recommended place to take your therapy.

I would 10/10 recommend anyone to come here. My partner was dealing with really random back pain because of sleeping on it wrong, he was unable to turn his neck/ stand for minutes. My only solution was we needed to find somewhere acupuncture for a some immediate relief. The environment was so calming and Kelpy really helped us with our individual needs. We both left feeling recharged and my partner’s back pain was on progress to healing.( a day after acupuncture he said that he wouldn’t have felt better sooner if he didn’t go.) While I was waiting for him to finish his session I was checking out the front area shop and bought some incenses, face oil and a gua sha. I’m definitely coming back here!
I've been going to Loving Touch for the past 7 years, as has my husband. There isn't a problem that Dr. Pak isn't willing to take on, and we've been there for several issues. Most of all, the convenience and efficiency in which the office works makes it possible for me to care for myself with my very busy schedule. From last minute appointments to flexibility in re-scheduling, I wish all medical care were this easy.
Some of the things that Dr. Pak has helped us with -
- My husband when he threw his back out and his doctor said rest was the only solution. He couldn't even get up to do basic functions and Dr. Pak had him experiencing relief in a day.

Just finished my first acupuncture treatment for Bell’s Palsy on the right side of my face. About 10 years ago, I had the same condition but on the left side and it ended up not healing properly to where my eye would be pulled partially closed when I smiled. Well today after 10 years, my proper smile is coming back. I am blown away and so emotional right now. I went in for the right but it is healing the left side as well. I look forward to seeing how my treatment progresses on the right side and feel so lucky to have found Dr. Tai.
UPDATE: Just had my last appointment for my Bell’s Palsy with Dr. Tai. She has been such a calming, kind presence throughout this whole process. She is the type of person who truly cares about her patients. My husband is now going to her for his carpal tunnel. Would highly recommend Dragonfly Acupuncture.
My right shoulder was becoming useless. His method of electrified needles, heat lamp, cupping, and massaging have helped enormously, and I actually look forward to seeing him. He also has a calming personality that contributes to a pleasant all-around experience. And I used to be skeptical about acupuncture. Not any more.
I've only had one initial appointment with Stephanie so far, but she was very compassionate and affirmative. She has a gentle touch and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The space is relaxing and serene, and I believe her prices are very reasonable for all of the modalities she's offering!
Second time around seeing Dr, Lerner and I hope that my second experience is just as good as the first one!
Really great acupuncture service. I was asked about my medical history and advised on the right pressure points for the same. The therapist made me very comfortable and put me at ease even as I was nervous since it was my first time getting an acupuncture treatment. My experience with Mr. Yang Driving School was excellent. My instructor, Mr. Yang, was incredibly helpful, skilled, and passionate with his work, leading to noticeable improvements in my driving with each lesson. I learned numerous techniques and skills that made driving much easier. In a hurry to get my license, I booked two lessons and rented a car, which I could use for my road test--a significant advantage. I highly recommend this driving school!

26 mph driving school is the best! I was pretty anxious and afraid to learn how to drive again after I took my road test the first time from a different school but I knew I had to learn again someday. Jose is the best! He is really patient and gives really good tips to everyone. I felt a lot more comfortable driving and built up a lot of confidence now behind the wheel. I passed my test the second time after not driving and taking the test in 3 years. If anybody wants to build confidence behind the wheel and get their license, I definitely recommend going to 26 MPH. Jose will for sure get you right!
I called Ferrari Driving School because I needed to pass my driving test before July 14th, which was less than two weeks away from the day I called. They took care of me right away. The process was smooth, and the communication was clear and organized. I completed the mandatory 5-hour video on Zoom, and the instructor made it very interesting, so it went by faster than I thought. The instructor for my driving lesson was very nice, and everyone I spoke to at this company was welcoming. It would be a dream to find one of their offices in Manhattan, lol. I strongly recommend this company.
