Peace in Piermont is a business that focuses on teaching mindfulness, yoga, and meditation to both children and adults. The owner, Katie Stoeckeler, is dedicated to creating a sacred space for individuals of all ages to learn, support, and connect with each other while practicing being present. At a workshop held at ICSC, Katie shared valuable information and tips on self-care and mindfulness, including how parents can incorporate healthy habits into their children's daily activities. The breathing exercises taught during the workshop were particularly helpful and calming. Attendees also appreciated the self-care note pads provided, which they can use to prioritize daily intentions in a fun and creative way. Peace in Piermont is also an ideal venue for hosting children's parties. One family had a wonderful experience hosting their daughter's 5th birthday party there, appreciating the alignment with their values and the owner's discussion of meditation and gratitude with the children. The Early Childhood Music & Meet Up class is a popular offering at Peace in Piermont. Parents appreciate the flexibility of the class, which works well with their ever-changing schedules. The class involves children playing with musical instruments and singing, followed by space for parents to mingle with their babies if they wish. Overall, Peace in Piermont is a special place that is warm, welcoming, and helpful for families with young children.

From Peace in Piermont

Peace in Piermont is a passion project birthed from the strong desire to teach children and their families the importance of living in the present moment. Peace in Piermont offers classes that teach children and adults mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and various strategies for coping with stress, while simultaneously building community amongst them. There are also classes and workshops available for parents that provide support for any obstacles they are enduring with their children - socially, emotionally or behaviorally. It is Katie's dream to steadily grow and cultivate sacred space for humans of all ages to learn, support and connect with ourselves, and one another, as we practice the art of “being here now.”
