“Hello to anyone who reads this and is looking for a place to learn martial arts. Stop looking because you found it. Nubreed martial arts is the best place iv ever been to train. I came back after a two years and it seems to have gotten even better if you can belive it. Everyone from the students,to the sifus are super nice and helpful. Everyone their is their to train get in shape and just have a great time. The sifus are amazing the are very knowledgeable about every art in nubreed and always looking to help their students. Word to the wise if you are looking for a place to just goof off and think you are going to learn how to just beat people up nubreed is probably not for you. They have rules that you need to follow from the uniform to how your treat the other students its about respect discipline and having a great time learning. So if you toook the time to read this then you should call up set up a trial class and i look forward to working with you cause once you come you will be begging for more.“

Strong Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“Strong is a great gym with great teachers. I have been taking the adult kickboxing classes for over a year and I love it! The gym provides a safe, friendly atmosphere and it is amazing what a great workout you get in one hour! Students range from 16 to 60, men and women.I had worked out in other ways over the years but had never done kickboxing before. It is definitely challenging at first but in 2-3 weeks, you get in the groove for both the conditioning and the kick-boxing parts. And it's way more fun than programs like Orange Theory or just lifting weights.I highly recommend Strong Martial Arts. It really is a great workout option for all skill levels.“

MAUSA Health & Fitness Center Martial Arts Schools

“There is something very unique and special about this school.I've been teaching at happykicks (another martial arts school) not far from MAUSA for over thirty years. I stopped in because I've herd so many amazing things about the grandmaster who is well into his late 70s, yet he personally teaches all of the children in his school. Grandmaster Bill McCloud has the most extensive martial arts backgrounds than any other teacher in America. I was so impressed at the depth at which he was teaching his students. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to witness a few of his classes. I realized that even the parents looking on had no idea of the incredible blessings their children were receiving or how greatly it will benefit them far into their adult life. Having trained in the martial arts for over 45 years, I've seen the difference between children that are given an authentic martial arts education and those that don't. The children at MAUSA will do well in life because of this amazing grandmaster and his assistant instructor Shoko Haramura. She loves the children as much as the grandmaster and is an incredible asset to MAUSA. She also teaches two adult class Tuesday and Thursdays, and also provides private training in an impressive array of martial arts skills such as self defense, flexibility training, Tai Chi, meditation, and special weapons training such as cane, umbrellas, staffs, daggers and sword. She also has a special talent for working with the elderly. I even thinking of purchasing a package of private lessons with Instructor Shoko for my mother who's in her 80s.“

“The most professional Chinese Taekwondo coaching team in New York. It is also the gym with the largest number of immigrant students from all over the world among the Chinese coaching gyms in New York City. The number of foreigners in one class exceeds that of all other gyms combined, which is enough to prove its strength.“

Maceus Studios Martial Arts Schools

“My wife and I have been clients for over 3 years now. What we love about Jeff, our trainer at Maceus Studios, is his kind, courteous, and patient personality. You meet first Jeff, the kind and decent human being before you meet Jeff, the sculpted trainer. He motivates you with a courteous firmness to strive towards your fitness goal. He keeps himself informed in health and fitness so he can impart the most tailored advice specific for you. Moreover, his fees are very reasonable. He offers two for one packages for couples and training buddies. This not only helps offset the cost, but it provides motivation for you to be more consistent when you have a training partner to go to the gym with you.

The other trainers at the gym reflect Jeff's courtesy and decency even if they have their own personality and training style. But in sum, we have no regrets about joining Maceus Studios. Thanks to Jeff and Maceus Studios, we have become more consistently health and fitness conscious.“

CK Chu Tai-Chi Chuan Martial Arts Schools

“This place is the real deal. Teachers are experimented and teach authentic Tai Chi, Nei Kung, Chi Kung and other practices. Each student gets individual attention for training and posture correction during classes so you get to work at your own pace. They are very friendly and there’s a very laid back, non-competitive, peaceful vibe. I’ve only been practicing for a couple of months and I am already seeing increased muscle mass, strength and flexibility. Nei Kung was a great revelation. An apparently soft practice but all about internal strength building and health. I highly recommend this school for people of all ages. Ellie.“
