“Pat Sr. and Pat Jr. are the best. From the moment our mother passed away at Calvary hospital until the day after the funeral they were there for us.

The moment our mother passed away my wife call Pleasant Manor asking if they could come to the Bronx to pick her up so she would not have to go to the morgue. Pat Sr. was there within the hour.

My wife called Pleasant Manor on the drive home and Pat Jr. said come by once you get your thoughts together. My wife, SIL and BIL arrived that afternoon and Pat Jr. made them feel so comfortable. They were in and out in no time with nothing to worry about.

The wake was beautiful. Pat Jr. did an amazing job on my MIL. The video slide show was perfect. I gave him a flash drive with over 175 pictures and his program created a slide show. I brought him four flash drives the morning of the funeral and he had the slide show download on all four drives before we left for the church.

The next day we sent a text to Pat Jr. asking for Thank You cards. He said they would be ready by 9am. We arrived at 9am just before another funeral was about to begin. Pat Sr. waived us in and said Pat Jr. had the cards. We drove up to the home and Pat Jr. came out and handed us the cards.

Later that week we were back at the home for another wake. Pat Jr. was a gem. We cannot say enough about this family. They are amazing and they've earned all our future business. Let's just pray that is later rather than sooner. LOL“

“During our time of grief, planning a funeral for a loved one is extremely difficult. My mother pre-planned her funeral with Lee's Funeral Home and the one thing I learned from Lee's Funeral Home is never judge a book by its cover. The waiting room is outdated but the service is impeccable, honest, warm, comforting and calming. Jennifer took us through every step, showed us what my Mother had chosen, asked if we wanted to change anything...we didn't. A staff member came in and asked us questions about Mommy, which made us remember the little things and we were presented with a tapestry of her life that truly brought a smile to my face. Lee's took great care with Mommy, gave her dignity every step of the way...she looked peaceful and beautiful. Lee's was also able to provide some options for a caterer in the area for the repast. They put together a bag at the end of the service with the cards from the flower, the sign in book, the additional programs and the cards, and the tapestry. We didn't need to go look for anything or gather stuff, they had thought of everything!!! I'm not sure I have completely conveyed how great Lee's Funeral home is but I am giving it my best effort. I thank them for taking care of my mom and in turn taking care of the family. If the star scale went to 1000, that is what I would give them.“

“This is not a review I ever wanted to write, but here we are. My wonderful mother passed away unexpectedly in August. Balsamo Funeral Home has always handled all of my extended families arrangements, so it was only natural we would use them for my mom. The service, dedication and compassion we received, was exceptional! Every detail, everything we needed, everything we requested was handled with the highest quality. We requested my mother to look as natural as possible since she never, ever wore makeup or had her nails done. They did such a beautiful job. It's not an easy request to fulfill because makeup is necessary when dealing with someone who has passed. The way they ushered my mother into the church was also nicely done. They all work in unison and made everything look so seamless. Again, this is not something I ever imagined I would write a review for, but it needed to be said.
