Westwood Flooring & Design Center refinished my parents’ almost 30 year old floor that had gaps, squeaks, and yellowish oil based poly coat and I can’t describe how gorgeous it came out. It’s so smooth, quiet, and looks like brand new! Theo and Val were detail oriented and worked tirelessly all day! They were so pleasant to talk to and answered all my questions while they worked. You can tell they take pride in their work. Marcos at the Elmsford location (they have several locations) gave me the estimate, told me what to expect and was very professional. They covered the kitchen area and cabinets but there were hardly any dust to begin with. They left the floors and surrounding areas spotless. Tatyana and Matthew provided professional and caring service for my mother. They arranged for her to be flown from Florida to NY. They made sure our family's wishes were carried out. The rooms are lovely, modern and bright. Everything was explained and itemized for us so there were no surprises. They were there every step of the way and believe me it matters when a family is grieving.
I had excruciating back and leg pain cause by sciattica back in March. I needed muscle relaxers and pain killers just to sleep. Within two weeks (two treatments per week) I was much better, and was able to walk, drive, even SLOWLY ride a bicycle without pain. Within two months, I was basically cured and pain free. In addition to being a great acupuncturist Aaron is an extremely nice guy, genuinely emphatetic towards his patients and delightful to talk to during the session. He's given me lots of "life tips" about pain management, diet and exercise which have really helped. His receptionist, Regina is always friendly and helpful. Its a wonderful caring office and the quality of care is excellent.

I'm happier with all renovated kitchen. It has been my urgent agenda to make a clean and functional kitchen after 19 years usage. I realized that kitchen is a center of the home regardless the size of the house. The owner uses very good quality materials and he gave a good recommendation what types of appliances to buy. I really appreciate about this. He is brilliant to design out a new kitchen with some added accessories. His plan was better than others. When I requested them, they came back to fix some problem areas before finalizing it. I could be much happier if the work could be complete without any issues. This is the reason one rating is shorter than a full rating of "5". Thank yo for your work!!

Since the Cleaners I had been using for a long time closed during COVID, I searched for a Dry Cleaner, especially to do my Church robe which was poorly cleaned by another place. A colleague highly recommended AI Dry Cleaners, so I tried them recently. I was very pleased with the results of my robe and a special jacket. Now I definitely plan to continue using AI Dry Cleaners and recommend them to others.

I called at 3:40pm to come in for 4pm 90 min. massage. Felt great the rest of the day. But there was so much noise upstairs, a kid or kids running and jumping the whole time. It was annoying!
Highly recommend. I had another plumber that was going to charge me almost $200 for their second visit in 3 days. I called up Frank Marinelli Plumbing and Heating to dee if they could check things out for less, and the guy on the phone walked me through how I could do the work myself for a cost of about $10-15 bucks. That type of help and honestly is rare. These guys did not get a dime for the advice today, but next time I have a plumbing issue, I know who I’m going to call.

The team is just incredible! There are not enough words to describe what they have done for us. From Eric at the office to Lucas who managed the initial assessment and gutting, to the large team of staff that came in like a swat team in restoring our home to normalcy after a fire. They were just incredible. Competent, professional, friendly -- we could not have asked for anything more. They worked SO hard for several days and were clearly exhausted from the heavy lifting, removing soot, clearing burnt belongings. Very very caring people. They smiled and were gracious and just the truest professionals. The cleaning job was EXCELLENT. The house is spotless. Every nook and cranny was touched. "Joseph's Family Cuts" truly deserves a 5-star designation. Joe is one of the best barbers I've ever known, in over 80 years. More than a skilled, professional barber, he is highly intelligent, sensitive, and responsible. I can not understand how anyone could have rated him less than 5 stars. All his reviews are favorable or outstanding. He is the BEST ! He is also someone you can trust to give you the kind of haircut you request, and to do it well.
So glad to have found Phoenix Mechanical, finally -- they are responsive, trustworthy, fair, and reliable in ways that contrast with at least two other top-rated companies I've used in past decades. From their near-instant communication, including the extremely knowledgeable owner's attention to big jobs, to their fair pricing, fast-as-possible service, and skillful, highly competent technicians who know how to work in tight spots (literally) that are really hard to reach, I can't recommend Phoenix highly enough. I respect Daba and her achievements as a young business owner in Westchester, NY. I have been to this establishment at least 3 times. Each time my hair has looked great, my experiences in the shop have varied.
I am impressed by a few things:
1. I have not had to wait for an appointment for more than 10 mins
2. Stylists generally braid for the entire length of the style. If they take breaks they are under 15 mins. I am sure more breaks are needed so I hope she will be able to accommodate the needs of her staff.
3. Clean and organized shop, doesn’t stink.
4. Clean and usable bathroom.
5. Strong communication, although there are some cultural clashes with customers.
6. Aprons/ uniforms with names so that clients can remember their preferred stylists easily.
7. Styles are usually neat and efficient, although some styles are better than others
Things that need work:
1. Attitude of some of the staff toward feedback of their work. Customers are not easy to deal with, but there needs to be a level of professionalism that is unmatched to truly stand out.
2. App! The options needs to be better organized. I don’t know if it’s because you offer such an array of services, which is great, but it makes selecting a service difficult. An alphabetical list or a list from least expensive to most expensive styles might be more efficient.
3. Pricing! Please post a price list in the shop. Maybe laminate a few “menus” to hand out to customers in person so that you can clean and reuse them. Pricing is not transparent. There are a lot of extra charges.
4. Breaks: I understand that staff need to eat, pray and use the bathroom. Please communicate this with clients a little better. It should be understood that people will need a break from braiding hair for hours at a time, but common sense is not so common. Assume people don’t think like you.
5. Handling of kinky hair. Black people have different types of hair textures. We have been taught to label some hair textures as nicer or better than others. Self hatred is real. Our hair needs to be treated with love and hair. Not burned to death with heat from blow drying and pulled with hard combing and brushing. Stylists should be taught to be gentle but efficient. Please invest in some classes if necessary.
I hope this business continues to grow and flourish, but growth takes pruning. Prune your fruit so that it can grow.
Hair type: I have short 4C hair. My hair is dense and thick. I have thinning around my edges from too much pulling and tension from certain hairstyles.
