Prompt response, quick delivery, but unusable device. After replacing the screen on my iPad mini, the touch button was broken and the device was unusable. I contacted them about fixing the issue and they said no problem, but then ghosted me. I've tried calling and texting for 6 days with no response.Perhaps they do a quick simple fix well, but be sure to double-check the work before payment.
Yeah, I'm not saying Mike may not be good for iPhone repair or other things like that, I can't speak to that. But I brought in a damaged hard drive and he said he could help me fix it by outsourcing it to people he knew for a lower cost than what had been estimated to me from a big tech store, and just... no... I wish I had not done that and just kept the drive, because I don't really think the guys knew what they were doing and the communication was really poor all the way through. I had to call repeatedly to figure out what was going on, and I couldn't even get him to give me a technical write up of the problem. I should have taken it back sooner but I trusted Mike who said his guys were good and was confident they could do something about it without damaging for someone in the future to work on it. After a couple months of waiting and them not being able to fix it, I brought it to another guy, and he said there is a screw missing in the drive (so they were sloppy in not even keeping all the parts together) and all the seals had been broken which would prevent another facility from being able to work on it. I specifically asked him if any procedure had any risk of rendering the drive irreparable, and Mike encouraged me to go ahead with it the whole way through. I don't think he had bad intentions, but I think anyone remotely knowledgeable would have been able to give me more of an idea of the risks involved. Mike and his Team just seemed to be out of their depth, and after a certain point their communication made it seem like they knew they messed the drive up and instead of being open about that just tried to quietly pawn it back off on me. It isn't that they couldn't fix it that frustrates me, it is the sloppiness that a screw is missing and the drive is damaged for anyone else to look at, that they claimed expertise when they didn't seem to have it instead of telling me to look elsewhere. These guys may be able to fix some things things but in the case of hard drive repair I'd say protect your stuff and get other opinions...
