Avery had her first big girl haircut today! ‍ Thank you Kate and Jenna at Parlour House Salon for making Avery and I feel so beautiful!! Jenna was so patient and kind with Avery, I highly recommend her! Kate is always so nice to see and the salon is so cute with other fun stuff and services to peep while in.

I had all but given up on finding someone who could do a gel manicure in this town. I've not had my nails done in a decade or more. I don't like to feel like I'm in an assembly line where no one speaks English and they upsell you and pretend they don't understand. I am pretty particular - no drills, no powder, no squared edges, no ultra long, no color. Just natural looking shorter nails because I wear contacts. Maybe that's boring, but hey I like what I like! Alicia Van Winkle is the wonderful person who did my nails and I love them! Considering I hadn't done them in forever, she was so patient and did them quickly and beautifully. Nice conversation as well. She has a little alcove in the Parlour House Salon, and it's private, and welcoming. The salon is super cute, in an old house with all those period details of a 100 year old house. Parking is in the back and that's where they prefer you go in and out I think. I didn't know so I went in the front, and it was locked. The waiting area is the old sun porch - they have coffee and tea and some cute clothes for sale. I paid $65 for a full set, and I don't know what the fill costs, but I'll find out today.

I get my hair colored and styled. Ashley and the girls are all amazing. You can't go wrong coming in here. I drive all the way from the Bay Area just to get my hair colored and styled. Of course I do come here for work as well!
