Raynera is very well-trained, and shared with me several technical insights about my particular head and hair-type that have helped me immensely with styling.She also happens to be unusually kind and genuine for our day and age. When I asked, a week following the cut, to touch something up, she scheduled me in that very same day without hesitation. I'm from out of town, staying in Taos for a month and needed to find a place for a men's haircut at a reasonable price. I found it here. Jerome cut my hair and I could not be happier. Very friendly guy who has been cutting hair now for 17 years. He was the only barber when I came in and there were 4 guys ahead of me, so it was a bit of a wait, but well worth it. I enjoyed chatting with Jerome and the other guys while I waited my turn. They were all locals so that says a lot about how good this place is. There is another barber but he wasn't there this particular day. I highly recommend this barbershop.
I had a great hair experience today with my stylist Melissa. She took time to know what I wanted and to understand my particular curly Afro hair type. She was professional and knowledgeable in her approach which did not stop some real good conversation on what was a beautiful sunny day in stunning Taos! I highly recommend Melissa!

Requested style: I have a very unique cut that I regularly let overgrow. It's an undercut with a pretty severe angle from short in back to shoulder length in front. Meera is confident with my hair type and vision that she can style it perfectly to fit the shape of my head and keep it trendy.
Hair type: I was rarely able to manage my curls before Meera. They're porous but fine so actually wrote versatile, she explained and is always ready to answer questions.

Margo is the best. She is great with colors and cuts. I live in Dallas but discovered her on a trip to Taos. I go back every 3 months to see her and she hooks me up with color I can take home to do my roots during visits. Her prices are better than Dallas Texas salons as well. I will never go anywhere else. Lovely salon and a fantastic stylist. Ask for Margo! She is also the owner.

In response to my urgent need to address a malfunctioning radiant heating system, Hawk sent a technician within 2 hours and within another 2 hours the system was working again with a new thermocouple and a reasonable bill for the services.
We just put a cooling package in our home and were met with incredible service and professionalism. Every other company that came to our home fell through with providing bids or even telling us of our different cooling options. From our first call with Celia, to having Kabir come give us a quote, and everyone in between, we were beyond impressed. We really were in good hands with our HVAC professional Matt as he went above and beyond to make sure our unit was installed properly. Marcos, our electrician was on top of every communication along the way and did incredible, clean work. We will be using Phoenix Mechanical for any future upgrades or repairs! 5/5
Anymore it is difficult to get electricians & plumbers to committ to a service call. My phone call was answered on the 2nd ring, a service call was scheduled within a few minutes, the guys arrived on the day & at the time agreed to, they fixed a heater problem & a plumbing issue in 1.5 hours & both Diego & Colin were friendly, knowledgeable & competent. Thanks to the owner Larry Mapes & his staff - GREAT SERVICE!

Doc Brown is very good at what he does. He listens well, too. For you energetic sensitives (and traumatized folks) out there, you might also want to know he is a caring man. He has good energy, which matters when you're going to allow someone to lay hands on you. Taos is blessed to have him.
Was traveling on road from Ohio to California and stopped briefly in Taos. Saw Ron for a quick fix or my sprained neck from the long driving. He was a magic worker. He not only fixed my neck with flair but he enlightened me in so many meaningful things about life. A great healer truly!

Our dogs have received stellar care at Salazar for many years. All Salazar vets and techs are excellent in expertise, communication, and compassion. On our most recent visit for Ellie’s annual exam, we got to meet Dr. Clara Maxam who was also outstanding. We love that she followed up with an email of helpful information. Reception staff are really great too.

Ted Schubach has been my vet for over 40 years. He is awesome and always has been there for our many pets over the years. The pandemic has changed the face of veterinary care in Taos. Many people moved to Taos with pets, overloading the already busy clinics in town. We only have 2 vet clinics for all of Taos County. Last year we had a dog emergency and rushed to Taos Vet only to find they were closed for lunch! So we rushed to Salazar Vet and received care only to return to Taos Vet after the crisis had subsided. When Dr Schubach was not overwhelmed by the shear need in Taos...he would make house calls to care for dying pets. In the last year we needed our elder chihuahua put down and he graciously came out to our car to euthanize our Venny in our arms. These are not cold heartless people...they are overworked and overwhelmed. They have compassion and heart and I am sorry that anyone may feel different. They can only see so many patients in a day. They only have 2 doctors. People have forgotten what Covid did to our healthcare system.
Yes, new owners, super groomers was great and Doggie shop is fabulous also, it was a pleasure taking the dogs and I have 3 shih Tzu which I know are not easy.
This is the best haircut my cocker spaniel has ever had!! She actually loved going and didn’t want to leave. All of the staff clearly loves animals and are excellent at what they do. Highly recommend!!!
