“I've had Earl Freeman and his team come out twice to my house to get some work done and both times they have done an amazing job. The first time was to shore up some poor work done on the house before we bought it. The work was done for a good price and he and his team did a little extra work to shore up some of the small issues that would have become larger issues had we not had them come out and take care of this for us. The second time was to look at what could have been a very expensive drain issue had the worst turned out. Thought it was a collapsed line but Earl diagnosed that it more than likely was not a collapsed line. They came out and were able to fix it by pulling out a piece of small pipe that would block and unblock the line that must have been accidently dropped in main line when the bathroom was last replumbed. As long as Earl is working I know who I am going to have do all my general contracting needs.“

“Had a small job in the closet. The rod and L bar came down. Rich from punch list came out and did a great job on the repair. He also checked an electrical issue I had . Very nice and professional. He had all the tools and was prepared. I will use him again. His prices are competitive I didn't feel like he was taking advantage of the job.“

“Update to original review - Leaving the neighborhood the same evening, I stopped when I saw one of their trucks in the neighborhood at a house under construction. Talked with the gentleman, and he offered to swing by on his way out that evening, and showed up about 15 minutes later. Diagnosed the issue as a blown fuse, and had me up and running in about 15 minutes! Can't thank him enough!Original review - They don't answer their phone, and you can't leave a message either. I've got a new construction home, and I came home today after 6 days on the road, and when I tried to flip the AC system on, nothing happened. Not a good feeling. I will be happy to update the review once I get in touch with them, but for now, one star since they're unreachable.“

“I cannot speak more highly of Duke City Heating and Cooling. I have used their services for my furnace, swamp cooler and electrical system. On every occasion, they've provided exceptional service at great prices. They work efficiently and are quick to isolate problems, and so far I have zero complaints about their work. They have also always been honest -- for example, when I asked about the cost of a new swamp cooler, I received a shake of the head saying you don't need a new one! That's when you know you're working with someone you can trust.

UPDATE 10 YEARS LATER: I rarely write reviews, but wrote my first review for Duke City 10 years ago when I was so impressed with their service. I'm back again because they really came through when a neighbors tree limb fell on our electrical line and it damaged our electrical box. We told them the situation and even though they were scheduled far out, they were able to move things around and sent someone out. They also have consistently provided quality service across the years: accurate estimates, timely services and excellent troubleshooting (minimizing the need for another service call). Duke City is a true local, family owned and honest business that provides great service.“
