“We absolutely adore Little Maestros! My son has been going since he was 5 months old, and it's always been his favorite class in the rotation. Nick and the rest of the band are so talented and friendly. And there's so much going on: music, dancing, "what's in the box", puppets, and bubbles. Such a special class put on by really wonderful people :)“
“This is a fantastic school for learning piano! Wonderful classes, I would recommend it!“
“Joseph was the piano teacher for our two sons and was so wonderful. He was fun and gentle, and always made them feel so positively about the piano and their lessons. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher who is passionate and great with kids.“
“Dori Levine is a very warm and welcoming vocal teacher. She helped me become comfortable with some of the most uncomfortable parts of singing, by challenging me to step outside of my comfort zone while maintaining an encouraging presence. She is the kind of teacher who will help you accomplish your unique goals rather than drilling you with technique. I felt at home in her Tribeca, Manhattan studio. She is a real gem of New York City.“
“Needed my guitar restrung so I called the soloist. Douglass answered and said to bring it in. He took care of it immediately. Easy, pleasant, fair, no nonsense same day service.“
“Excellent location!! We're are very happy to see our daughter progress at piano studies. The instructors are very professional motivating to attend the recital and other programs. The best school of music!“
“Carol is an amazing piano teacher! She has been teaching my daughter for the past 7 years. We are very happy with carol’s mentorship. My daughter started as a beginner with carol. Now, she is playing beautifully and progressed much farther than I expected. I am also a piano player and am very impressed with how diligent and hard working carol is. She really cares about her students and makes sure they work to their potential. She has inspired my daughter to work hard and become a very fine pianist. We were very lucky to have met carol. I highly recommend Carol.“
“I have been a student at Brooklyn Music Studio since I was 7 and it has been an absolutely incredible experience! Hagai and Jinah are amazing teachers, who are very good with working with kids of all ages and up to all levels. I am now going to Brown University for music and I can't capture in a review how grateful I am to the Brooklyn Music Studio for teaching me so much! Jinah is an amazing music theory teacher as well as a virtuosically talented piano teacher and player, and Hagai is an incredible violin and viola teacher and player (he focuses on building the most important technique skills and is kind and patient while still a challenging teacher.) In their lessons, both Hagai and Jinah meet you where you are, giving you the tools and skills to improve without shaming you. They are also extraordinarily welcoming, kind and funny people!“
“Mr. G is a wonderful and very patient professor! He takes time to thoroughly explain everything and makes piano lessons easy and fun!“
“I’m so thankful to have started attending lessons at Riverside Music Studios; it’s a great place to learn piano for a casual enjoyer or aspiring professional. I began my piano lessons a few months ago, and have been able to attend consistently because they offer lesson times in the evenings, which work great with my work schedule. From my instructor to the staff, everyone is extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend starting lessons here!“
“I owe all of my music ability (and increased passion for jazz) to Ridgewood School of Music. I have received poor advice from other teachers but never with Ridgewood School Of Music trumpet maestro, Bobby.Everything suggested moves me past my musical slump and launches me into new fun things.Lo mejor de lo mejor! <3“
“The NY Conservatory of Music is such an exemplary institution. Dr. Stryjniak is a concert pianist who is an amazing instructor. His wife, Joanna, is such a lovely and warm human being. We also love Andre who is always so mindful to people's needs. Their students get to Carnegie, ABT and so on. Always a privilege to be around such talent and discipline.“
“Jeremy Miller is, hands down, the best trumpet teacher we had for our daughter. He's very professional, invested in his students and also flexible and works with their schedule. Highly recommended“
“Amazing place .. Joe and Jeanette are magnificent people, they are passionate about teaching music and are incredibly amazing as well as awesome in teaching music. My daughter loves going to Joe music center gives her a sense of normality during the pandemic ( plus she been going a few years there ). Joe and Jeanette deserves 100 's stars This is truly a Covid safe place everyone adheres to the safety precautions. Thank you Joe and Jeanette for being who you are...“
“My child has been learning Piano for a bit more than two years with Huiwen. He grew so much as a musician. Huiwen is a fantastic teacher. She is kind yet serious enough, patient and creative. She clearly loves what she does - teaching music to kids - and it makes a huge difference. I can not recommend her more!“
“I have been learning guitar with Greg for over a year. He is not just a teacher, Greg is a mentor. He takes the time to get to know you and individualizes his approach to meet your learning needs. He is excellent at breaking down information and techniques into clear and applicable steps. He is invested in his students use of best practices and in their understanding of how and why music is formed. I can’t recommend Greg highly enough (unless your only interested in learning how to play songs by rote). Greg takes the time to develop your skills, understanding, and how to eventually play any piece and make it your own.- An adult student with very little previous skill“
“Kim at KB Sax extends the enjoyment I experience playing saxophone right into the saxophone shop - on every level. Just a genuinely nice person, willing to freely share his knowledge, exceptional customer service and what a great product!I received a hand hammered KB by Kim Bock alto neck in October 2022 and after playing it for 3 months, I can confirm that it has been a great experience. I realize that most of our sound comes from us, but it’s refreshingly welcome to get that subtle yet noticeable boost from the right neck or the right mouthpiece - and Kim’s neck did just that.In a world full of marketing, trying to pull us in all directions, I’m so glad that I took the time to analyze all my options and eventually decide to go with Kim at KB sax. Thanks Kim.“
“We like the school since the teachers have really high goals. My daughter had have a hard time to adjust in the beginning, right after she had been with a young girl who praised her all the time from another school. But she wasn't learning as much as at Blüthner. We do not see having goals and working towards them as a problem. The teachers are fair and professional. So no complaining at all from our experience.“
“Been taking some private lessons with Marty to learn guitar and I couldn't be happier. Marty came highly recommended to me by my good friend Danny and he was so wise to send me to Marty. I played violin when I was younger but I was recently inspired to pick up the guitar and it's been great for my soul and Marty has been like a doctor diagnosing my bad violin habits and correcting them for guitar. I would recommend anyone to try out this gem of a music school in Brooklyn. It's never too late to pick up an instrument and play. Prices are reasonable and the studio is conveniently located and I always feel welcome.“
“A full throated endorsement of Zona Studio. A class of her own in talent, wit wisdom and inspiration, Regina Zona can develop the musicality of novices to experienced artists and make every note fun.“
“My son attended 82nd Street Academics in the Pre-school and Pre-K program. One thing I can say for sure, they absolutely care about your child in every way possible. My son took time to adjust his first year and in no time he was making friends, loved his teachers and learned beyond what I expected. They are attentive, communicative and they've become part of the family and we're very thankful. We had the pleasure of growing with amazing teacher who I hope to still be around when my youngest is ready to attend pre-school.“
“We have been coming to Piano verse for seven years, and we are so happy with our experience here. My kids enjoys their lessons, and they have learned so much. Their teachers not only focus on them to learn how to play the piano, they also give them helpful tips on how to do learn a new note and to enjoy while they are learning, exercises for their fingers so they can be play better. If you let them know in advance about any changes on your schedule they always look for ways to fix your schedule into any of their available ones. We feel like family in here and piano is one of the activities they enjoy the most!!“
“Both of my children have been taught, one piano and the other guitar at this music school. Ms. Catherine the owner and piano teacher has a real touch for connecting with children and has been doing this for a long time with great results. The place is located right on the border between LIC and Astoria in a safe neighborhood strip of stores. The guitar teacher has changed in the last year but the new one is much better than the old one according to my son. A really great place for children to learn a musical instrument.“
“Lovely music school offering a variety of instrumental and vocal instruction! Their staff work closely with the students to develop their love for music and growth in their musical studies. Students are given great indoor and outdoor performance opportunities too. Highly recommend!“
“So... where do I start? As a first-year student in one of NYC's competitive musical theatre programs and studying in the Mecca of all things professional theatre, I found a voice teacher who was patient with me and helped me grow as an artist. Ms. Lisa has been a key contributor to my success! She taught me how to walk into a room and introduce myself, sustain healthy vocal techniques while using my authentic voice, and reassured me through all my doubts as a senior in high school transitioning to college, reminding me that I deserved to pursue this amazing art form. If there's a place to learn prime vocal technique, it's in NJ at Theater Steps with Ms. Lisa. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND START LEARNING WITH THEATERSTEPS!“
