“Best dog sitter I have ever had! I am from Canada and used this service for my youngest pup while travelling. I wish they were closer. Will certainly get them again anytime I am in the NJ/NYC area. Very fast at responding to messages, very polite and kind, incredibly reasonable price, and my little boy seemed so happy when I picked him up!“

“My husband and I adopted a three year old Miniature Schnauzer mix, Snowy, this past spring. He was the nicest dog ever indoors but when we took him outside, he barked and lunged at everyone and ended up biting someone. Tracy came to the rescue. First we had to get him a muzzle and Tracy told us what kind to get and helped to fit it on him. Then Tracy explained how to desensitize his behavior. It has not been easy; I think we had about eight sessions with Tracy. Tracy has a deep understanding and skill about managing dog behavior. Snowy still has a ways to go but his progress has been amazing! We are on our own now with further training but we can reach out to Tracy for advice and for more sessions if need be.“

“I can’t say enough good things about Fido Fidelis! They trained my 1 year old rescue with such care and commitment. She came to us a “wild child” and now she is the best possible version of herself. This photo is from a recent off leash beach day, which never would have been possible without Peter and his staff. I also love their boarding service - I know my pup will be well taken care of while we are away!“

“Thank you again for the 24/7 care you gave Bella at daycare and boarding! Donna, Mike, and team are truly wonderful with the love and care they show to the pups who stay there!I felt safe knowing my little girl was not alone all night without a caring heart to watch over her. I can’t thank you enough. She also had a little playmate for a sleep over. So precious.“

“John is a lifesaver. My dog sitter cancelled last minute right before the Labor Day weekend. Another highly reputable dog walker recommended John and I contacted him immediately. From the moment I took Dakota to meet him, I new she would be in good hands. John sent pictures and videos every day and I could see that she was well taken care of, loved and feeling at home with his family. It put me at complete ease. When I came home and picked her up, she was happy and playful. John is a true professional that loves animals as if they were his own. If you're looking for a safe, wonderful home to board your dog, I highly recommend John. Don't wait another minute!!“

“Each time is a wonderful service. Thank you!!! Great doctors here. Great diagnostic on the spot each time. No guessing games. They do not play games to get your money like all other hospitals and vet clinics.“

“Wilson is the absolute BEST dog trainer around. Our lab was extremely hyper, impossible to walk on leash, and the one time he got off the leash he ran into the road, not good. Immediately after that happened, we booked Rosa’s 1 week advanced training, and it is UNBELIEVEABLE how well behaved our dog is. The 3 weeks he’s been back so far have been the BEST imaginable time, honestly makes me wonder why we haven’t done something like this for all of our dogs. He’s now a 99% off leash dog, and we are so proud of what he can do, we look to show it off to everyone we know, but most importantly, we can finally enjoy letting him be a dog with full confidence that he will listen when we need him to. Literally the best thing we ever did. THANK YOU ROSA !“

“We absolutely love Camp Bow Wow. After having bad experiences at every other dog daycare in Hoboken and Jersey City (dog fights, bites, etc) I was driving my dog Pete to a different Camp Bow Wow location over 30 min away. I was thrilled when the location opened in Hoboken. The staff is super kind and I can tell they really love my dog. The owner also identified a health issue my dog was having and potentially saved his life. Super happy they are nearby!“

“No words can describe the love and care they have given my pup & soulmate Boris for 15 yrs. Everyone gave us so much. The staff, the doctors, Dr Esrig, loved Boris so much. Sadly Dec 12 Boris passed surrounded by those who loved him most at AD&CH. Thank you all so much, Love Marlene“

“I recently started taking my dog, Livvy, here. When I went for her meet and greet several weeks ago, the staff told me to set aside about an hour for this. Unlike other places I have been to, I stayed the entire time, got to see Livvy as she acclimated to the facility, the pups, and the other coaches and the staff patiently answered all of my questions. Livvy now has been attending daycare here twice a week, and has also done the boarding program.Livvy is a very shy, anxious pup when it comes to meeting new people, in particular. She can sometimes be a dog's dog and want to play (heavily at that), but also sometimes just wants her space. The staff understands this and treats her accordingly. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience there thus far. That being said, I look forward to seeing how their enrichment experiences come to life. I have seen some of the coaches interact with the dogs, and Dogtopia offers special programs throughout the moment, but I haven't seen Livvy participate in one yet.“

“I have been to Bay Street Animal Hospital 5 times - including 3 emergencies and 2 follow-up visits. I have also been to 4 other vets on Staten Island. This is the best vet practice I have experienced so far because:Check In: The front desk personnel are always cordial, immediately acknowledge my entrance and diligently sign me in or address any questions that I have. I have dealt with 8 receptionists so far. Whether it is during the day or night, I usually wait no more than 10 minutes to see a vet when I show up without an appointment (but this could just be luck).Facility: So clean and sterile looking you could eat off the floor. The facility is brightly lit and the equipment/technology looks modern and well maintained.Vet Assistants: I have dealt with 3 vet assistants, but I only know the name of one - Kayla! All are extremely genial and upbeat, showing lots of empathy to the situation. They ask lots of questions to assess the health situation, take extensive notes and always leave room for me to thoroughly state my observations, concerns and questions. They are very patient with the dog and do their best to put the dog at ease.Vets: I have dealt with the vets Dr. Ashley Aanonsen and Dr. Justine Candrilli – two extremely caring and empathetic people! The vets seem to always prioritize care for the animal’s well-being over making money by trying their best to avoid unnecessary procedures, medications and costs. They always try their best to avoid invasive surgeries/procedures that carry a risk of further injury/death. They spend more than enough time with my pet and I am always given enough time to voice my concerns and questions. I am always asked for my permission before performing any procedure on my pet. So far, all the treatments that I have been given have restored my pet’s health within a week. The visit notes have been very thorough and honest (leaving no information out). Overall, both vets give the impression of knowing-their-stuff, being-on-top-of-their-game and being highly competent!Costs: I feel that the costs are fair and/or low. As of the time of writing this, it’s $150 per visit not counting procedures, medications, tests, etc. which is similar pricing to other vet clinics in this area. If you make an appointment before you go, then the visit is half the price. (I think free pet trimming toe nails is included in the visit price).. I have always been advised on the additional costs before any procedure is done. Once I get the final bill with the medications, I am usually surprised by how low the bill is and I am a cheapskate. Pay with cash or debit if you want to avoid credit card fees.Negatives: Twice I have gone there, only to find out that the hospital is not 24/7 as advertised. Once it was closed at night and another time on a national holiday. So, please check their open and close times on their website or via an Internet search before you go. Also, I have never been able to go in with my pet while he is being treated. In general, I am very critical of most Western doctors and tend not to trust that they care about their patients or are competent. However, my experience at Bay Street Animal Hospital challenges my belief and makes me feel otherwise. Please give this place a chance; I cannot praise it enough!“
