“I’ve recently joined IMX and am really impressed with how beginner friendly they have been. Their studio is very welcoming and clean. The trainers I’ve tried Taylor and Wilfredo have been really helpful in assisting me through learning the different positions and exercises. Excited to continue this journey with them.“
“Swdy is a beautiful place with amazing instructors who care and are very informed. I love this studio it is my home, a place I go to relieve stress , rest and work on me. I am so grateful to the instructors and I am so grateful for this space.“
“Katie's passion for Pilates and movement, in general, is infectious. Her enthusiasm and dedication to helping others grow their personal practice are remarkable. Katie's expertise and personalized approach make her a standout instructor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to add and grow as an instructor.“
“Keith is the best. I’ve been to a few different PT locations in NYC and finally found one I’ll use forever. Came in for recovery post foot surgery surgery and now working on parts of my body that have been ailing for awhile. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Definitely recommend.“
“Everything about YogaSix is great. Awesome classes, awesome teachers, fantastic staff. Definitely my happy place ?♀️ I can’t say enough nice things about here. Great for all levels, every instructor brings something unique and special to their classes.“
“Gorgeous experience! From the moment I walked into the studio it was a welcoming and pleasant environment. Extremely spacious rail road apartment clean, fresh, and cozy. Yoga is a state of mind, the environment around you is a bonus. I felt at peace. Thank you Nicole! Thank you for checking in and making sure we were good.“
“I’ve been going to link studios for over a year now and I have to say I really enjoy this place.the place is clean the coach was knowledgeable and over all great place for boxing and Pilates.“
“I've taken several of the adult open ballet classes at HeART in Motion a few years ago following the pandemic. Ms. Olivia, the teacher, was great at keeping the students on their toes and maintaining a positive class environment even as we were all just slowly getting back to dancing in person. So thankful to have had these classes at HeART during those times to get me back on my feet!“
“My wife and I came here for our wedding’s first dance. We had a really great time. As a guy who had never danced before, I really appreciated that Teacher Eunju didn’t gave me any pressure and patiently taught me all the Waltz moves. I was nervous at first but I now understand why people enjoy dancing so much.“
“Central Park Physical Therapy is an absolute winner in my book. I've had lots of PT in my life but never as good as here. Dave who is at the center of the place is is amazing . Not only does he know exactly what your body needs. but he's also a one man welcome wagon and and master of ceremonies. But most important of all an awesome physical therapist.I've never had to wait and have very much appreciated the relaxed feeling of the place. If you want the best you've found it.“
“AMAZING VIRTUAL PILATES CLASS. the perfect amount of challenge combined with deep stretching in between exercises. I feel honored to have taken a class with Jesolyn, such an experienced instructor, with 30+ years of teaching (and it shows, hah!) Through out the class she made sure all the students were performing the exercises properly and she corrected our form if needed. She also gave modifications to tailor to each individual student. I highly recommend this studio, specifically, Jesolyn’s virtual mat class. Thank you!!!“
“I have taken hundreds of pilates classes here, and they are uniformly superb. The instructors are knowledgable and professional, the sessions are challenging but realistic, and the class size is smaller than most other studios I've visited.“
“Juno is a passionate, detailed oriented, and flexible trainer. I have been training with Juno for almost a year now, and it has been a joy working with him. My initial goal was to lose some weight and tone my muscles, but soon after, I realized I preferred weight training. Juno attended to my feedback, was responsive to my change of goals, and personalized my training plan according to my needs. On a personal level, Juno is passionate about his career, motivated to keep learning, and self-disciplined. 100% recommend.“
“I highly recommend this place for pilates in the area. The space is super clean, the instructor and owner is amazing, the location is perfect, and the price beats the competition. Tracy is such a fun instructor who is patient and passionate.“
“A boutique basement studio on the Upper West Side very close to the 86th street train. This studio is very welcoming and quaint. The facilities are clean and small but they have everything you need for a tame, constructive workout. Many people of all ages, sizes and abilities have shown up here. I have a hard time paying the steep price and can't afford too many classes here but the ones I've had are great. The premium price is worth it for those who can afford. All the classes are extremely small and the trainers spend so much time with you! In particular, I had an amazing experience with Anne. She is so kind, attentive, and energetic!! She made me feel very confident in the movement and excited about working out. Anne was also a very attentive listener. Also shoutout to Carina and the other desk workers who helped me sign up for classes and change them when needed!“
“Gail and staff are professional and knowledgeable. The benefits from Pilates are undoubtedly much greater than any other workout. I am looking forward to many more sessions“
“I've been coming here for years...almost 400 workouts to date! Love the variety of instructors and workouts. Changed my life and my body. Attentive support staff, clean and well run.“
“Whether you are looking for healing your body due to an injury or looking to strengthen your core, correct posture and build flexibility and strength, Elizabeth is bar none the instructor you need. Her deep knowledge, caring demeanor and ability to listen to your concerns/goals are what sets her apart from other Pilates classes. Her studio is clean, peaceful and welcoming. I highly recommend!!“
“Not only is the space incredibly zen and beautiful, Alexia is truly an expert who exudes professionalism. Every session is a challenge but interesting. I highly recommend anyone who wants the pinnacle of Pilates to try Alexia and become one of her followers. Joan“
“Today’s Center and Balance class with Svetlana was just what I needed. The stretching, the exercises and balance challenges definitely made me feel so much better on the way out than when I went in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I signed up last week for monthly unlimited classes (amazing deal) and it’s been the best decision! I did trapeze yoga as my first class, which was the most fun I’ve ever had at a yoga class. Today I did the Barre class and I left feeling like I could conquer the world!! Absolutely wonderful energy from the teachers and students and I truly enjoy coming here. This was exactly what I needed in my life. Highly recommend.“
“Joanna Binney's attentive care has significantly accelerated my recovery from a frozen shoulder. She is an exceptional physical therapist.“
“I love this place so much! I had no prior experience in pilates before going there, but after getting a demo with Rosemary, I was hooked! It has transformed my life and body. I feel stronger, leaner and my lower back pain is gone. Instructors are amazing (my faves are Rosemary and Steve) and people who go there are very friendly. I feel like a part of a family! It's been amazing two years with them!“
“Great for beginners and experts ! Great core workout Awesome relaxing workout for the body, while learn how your body moves and works.“
“I began working with Stephanie when I was six weeks postpartum with a body rocked by pregnancy and painful diastasis recti. With each session, I felt stronger and within a couple months of working together 2x a week, my diastasis recti was 100% healed. I credit Stephanie with "pulling me back together" after my pregnancy. Her incredible attention to detail and understanding of the body, and the specifics of my body, far surpassed anything I could have expected. Each session was completely tailored to me and my needs with compassion, care, an amazing sense of humor, and great results.“
“Hackensack Meridian is one of the nicest, cleanest gyms in the tri-state area.Pro's: Huge facility with every machine and piece of fitness equipment you can imagine. Multiple gyms in the area have the "old gym sock" smell. Hackensack literally has no odor and is kept reasonably clean. There is staff to answer questions, but don't expect a boutique experience. Again, huge facility . The showers and locker rooms are clean with towels/soap/shampoo/conditioner/hair dryers . The saunas and hot tub are typically in working condition. When they are not, its fixed within a day. The pool has 8 lanes. Most swim lessons are kept in the therapy pool so there are no splashing/in the way children. Again, the aquatics facility is clean and well run. Swim team starts at 5pm and takes up 2-3 lanes.Minor cons: The giant window between the pool and gym should be one way. It would provide a more private experience for everyone running around in bathing suits. Cellphonesshould not be allowed in the hot tubs. Street shoes should not be allowed on the pool deck. It is a massive hygiene issue. This is mostly on the parents bringing their kids to swim lessons. The lifeguards need to be watching the pool, not clustered together and chatting. They should be separated. Two watching and one roaming the pool deck.Classes: Please attempt to have something at 4:15/4:30 a few days per week.Cafe: Later hours would be greatly appreciated. I would love to grab dinner on my way out the door .Overall: Great facility and the best on Route 17. Minor issues, but no place is perfect . Definitely recommend if you can swing the 80.00 per month.“
