Amerikick Karate Marlton Martial Arts Schools

“My two sons have been attending Amerikick Marlton for over a year now. At Amerikick, they’ve learned discipline, confidence, and the importance of a strong work ethic, all traits that will serve them well both on and off the mat. It’s a very supportive atmosphere, and there’s a real sense of community here. All of the Sensei’s and staff are attentive, dedicated, and inspiring, especially Sensei Axyl, who’s the heart and soul of this place— and his Beginner Tricks class is the bomb! In addition to karate classes, there are lots of great events throughout the year, including tournaments, board-breaking, monthly themed fun nights like “Nerf Wars”, and holiday events, as well as summer camp. If you’re on the fence, consider this the swift kick you needed (pun intended) to check out a class today!“

New Jersey Martial Arts - Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA Martial Arts Schools

“TL;DR:Whether you just want to study martial arts, compete in tournaments, or aspire to become a professional fighter, this is the school for you.Full Review:I joined NJMA as a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu shortly after moving to New Jersey in 2019. The quality of teaching at the school is top notch. Marco continually adapts his approach to instruction, researching the most effective methods to improve your skills as fast as possible. At the school - there is no emphasis on competing or professional fighting. If that is a goal of yours, Marco will get behind you and help you get to where you want to be. There are a wide variety of skill levels and body sizes among the students. Everyone there is serious about their training, but there is still space for fun and laughter. The ability to execute techniques under “real world” stress scenarios is the golden standard. EG: Every technique taught is later tested under different levels of resistances (no resistance, some resistance, or max resistance or “live”). The result is knowing that you will eventually be able to execute the techniques can confidently rely on them outside of the gym.Lastly, I will say Marco is just a down to earth guy. He is a family man who is happy to answer serious questions from anyone (as time allows). Conversations after training have spanned the gamut of topics, both inside of martial arts and out. His wealth of knowledge and network of people is invaluable, and I am honored to be a student of his.“

Strikezone Mixed Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“I started training with Strikezone around the summer of July 2023 to learn MMA. This has been the best decision and investment I have ever made for my health and happiness. Derek, and his team has been very supportive since day one. I remember my first day, Derek have provided me the fundamentals and guided me through with every step. Even with the other coaches, they will never leave by yourself and will work with you regardless if you’re new or not.A huge shoutout to Derek and his team for the ongoing support and embracing empathy. Not many people show this kind of support. But Strikezone is the place where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and get a great work out.Overall, I highly recommend Strikezone and you will not be disappointed.“

Kraus Karate Academy Martial Arts Schools

“Hello, my name is William O’Brien. This Saturday I will be testing for my black belt at Kraus Karate. My journey with karate started four years ago. I am nine years old now. My mom signed me up after my brother was born to help me get my energy out and learn how to control myself. I kept getting a little wild at school. I have learned and achieved so many things with the help of karate. For example, karate has improved my confidence, coordination, and balance. When I first started, I couldn’t even jump rope. Now I can jump rope, balance myself, do push-ups and lift my mom up! I have met some great friends and people through the sport. There hasn’t been a single lesson I have learned through karate that I haven’t liked. Through karate, I was taught how to accept criticism and self-reflect. I gained the skill of how to set goals and achieve them. This is something I did not learn in school. It has helped me achieve other goals in my life and school. This year I won student of the month for the first time and was so proud of myself! Karate gave me patience, as a result I was able to grow out my hair for two years. and donate it to cancer. Lastly and one of the most important aspects of my karate group, I have a great instructor! Mr. Kraus has taught so much about myself and karate. Karate is a great time and has helped shape me into the person I am today!“

Amerikick Blackwood Martial Arts Schools

“Sensai Irene was very thorough and courteous. We signed our son up for the trial period and we're hoping he sticks with it after our local studio closed last month. Only downside is the classes are shorter than we're used to. They're only 35 minutes long, but we'll see what happens. Too early to tell if he'll stick with it, but it seemed like a great environment so far.“

“This facility and location is clean, friendly, and not overly packed, but has well attended classes. I just took my second class with Amy and she is an amazing instructor. Her cues and motivation are perfectly timed and executed. I actually live a mile away from another location, but drive the 25 minutes to this class so that I can take Amy Tynons classes! She teaches every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and you should absolutely check out her classes, especially if you like a challenge. The owners are welcoming and seem to run a great location.“

“I was able to train here twice as a visitor, and I can't recommend the gym enough! The classes are very well structured and instructors have always got an eye on everyone to ensure that everyone is learning well and is safe. I enjoyed the attention to detail and coach Peach's straightforward approach. When sparring with the kickboxing and Muay Thai people I felt that everyone adjusted to my level. The mats are really nice too, and there is also a small dedicated warm up are and even a cage.So overall I had a great experience!“

“My 5-year old son recently started here and loves it! It has been amazing to watch him be so focused and dedicated to something, which we have never seen before (and this is not his first extracurricular activity). Sensei Santos is a great instructor. He sets high expectations for the kids for how they carry themselves and how serious they are about their craft. We truly admire that in an instructor and think that our son greatly benefits from it. In addition to being more active, the class is teaching him discipline and hard work. I would highly recommend!“
