“Dr. Wilson has been our vet for 20+ years. He's taken care of 2 dogs and 7 or 8 cats through the years. He's been knowledgeable and kind towards all the cats, even the ones that aren't happy to be there and give him a hard time. Somehow he gets them to calm down and allow him to look them over. His prices are fair too. Staff are friendly as well.“

The staff is caring and kind, everyone I came in contact with was very attentive and willing to answer questions and address concerns. “My furchild is very discerning when it comes to people. He hadn't had the best experience with a vet, and I am so thankful to have found West Orange Animal Hospital. He fell in love, at first sight, with the vet techs and Dr. Dick! He was comfortable lying on the floor with his head on the vet tech's lap. Dr. Dick was gentle informative, thorough and made sure my dog was comfortable with each step. WOAH clearly has a love for animals and a deep respect for the people who love their pets. “Some people are quick to leave a bad review about Dr. Nergrin. But they will not tell you she never turns a patient away. If you walk into her hospital with an emergency, she will treat your pet the best she can with minimum staffing and equipment. They also do not write reviews. Saying she was trying to work right after having major surgery just not to let her clients down. People need to respect her time and schedule their appointments accordingly. Suppose you will not show a simple phone call to cancel is so easy. They also say her staff doesn't answer the phones. How can she if she's helping the doctor? Before you try to tarnish someone's reputation, it doesn't hurt to ask questions, but instead, some of you guys' feelings get hurt because YOUR pet wasn’t seen promptly, and you want to write a bad review. It is funny that you guys still go to her practice. If any of my dogs are sick or are not eating whatever, I will take them to the emergency vet. But some of you do not have common sense. She’s damn near a one-person team, and you folks think she’s supposed to be superwoman. Lastly, she doesn't make you get unnecessary things for your pet like most vets.

“We have been taking our pets to Valley for over 25 years. They treat us like family and go above and beyond. Their dedication is clear in everything they do. Dr. Henderson and Dr. Thompson have taken such good care of our dogs (and cats years ago) and we are forever grateful. Excellent quality of care and communication. “We brought our dog here after he was diagnosed with Stage 3 lymphoma. We started him on a chemotherapy protocol after much discussion about different types and what type of outcome they may have. I have worked in oncology research for the last 12 years, so I am very well versed in chemo protocols and lymphoma treatment and plans, and they had many options to choose from based on his expected outcome (which was poor because he had a T cell lymphoma which is very aggressive). We went to the clinic weekly, got to know the techs and staff very well. I understand that since this is also an Emergency clinic, people do not always have the best outcomes, but we had nothing but a great experience. Our dog was happy to visit his new friends, and he was treated so well. I was able to have honest and thorough conversations with the doctors (because of my background I had a lot of questions and experiences), and they always took the time to have a discussion with me. The place is so busy, especially in the oncology side, and I hadn't spoken to one person there who had had a bad experience either. Unfortunately, we lost our dog after he relapsed twice, but he made it two more months without treatment, and had a high quality of life. The doctors at AERA always kept in touch with my regular vet, so he always knew what our status was, and after we had to make the difficult decision that it was time, our vet called AERA to let the staff know. We immediately received a phone call from Dr. Alsarraf expressing her sympathy. She had said to me at one of our visits for treatment, that our pup was the happiest guy she ever met. It meant a lot that they could reach out during that time, even though we hadn't seen them in a couple of months. I could go on and on, but if you are local to the area, and are dealing with a cancer diagnosis, I think this is an amazing place to end up.“
