“I recently unearthed, a rather dated Acer laptop, that was used at my last command, as a training station. Specifically for drone FPV flight simulator training. Once I retired, I packed it away. I now manage a company that has a drone training program, so thought it would be nice to have it resurrected, however, nobody seemed interested in refurbing a special application laptop that was over a decade and a half old. That is, until I found Ed, at E & S Computer Repair. As soon as I talked to him, he agreed it could be saved, as opposed to being replaced, and he guaranteed it would be less than half of what I would cost me to replace it. Ed is an Analog Wizard, at least to me. He replaced the HD, doubled the Ram, and tuned it up for increased speed and efficiency required to run sim environments. Ed is also very good at tailoring hardware and apps, to specific work functions required, which was important to me in this case. In the end, I paid about a 3rd of what it would have cost me for a similarly equipped new one. Ed is now our computer guy for both our business, and our personal devices, and he is a blessing.“

“So it looks like I'll be the first to leave this business a happy review. Several years back my wife got me a Samsung 27" LED monitor. S27D360H if you actually care. The years they made this was 2012-2015 maybe, so way out of warranty. I hate throwing stuff away, and this monitor has really grown on me. I like the design of the white and seafoam blue/green on it. Up until it crapped out it was awesome. From some googling, I learned that the backlight had died and the symptoms were that when turned on it would cycle through the input settings, and then when it would get to the correct one it would turn off the backlight on and the screen would go dark. If you shined a really bright light at the screen you could begin to see stuff on the screen. I gave them a call and was charged $150 for the repair and shipping to and from. It was almost back in under a week and it is right back in its place. The only kicker was that as this was away being repaired my wife and I saw a new one on sale at Costco for around $130. Truthfully, I am glad I have mine back and didn't add it to the mountains of tech waste that keep growing. I don't know if anyone with a good experience doesn't think to make it public or if my experience was really that rare. Thanks, Techeim Inc.“
