“Hard to believe that a professional office like this still exists. Silvia answered the phone, full of information, up front with pricing (not exorbitant), and enthusiastic. An hour later I entered the office--everything was well organized and clean; several people were busy working, and Silvia greeted me to start the fitting of the frames I had brought. No appointment; immediate start. She took her time adjusting several times the bridge tabs, made detailed measurements, and explained the science of the three zones in my progressives. She also measured the zones in my current glasses to be sure the lab would know how to set the zones in my new ones. Her colleagues all seemed similarly friendly and informed. I am someone who likes to learn all about whatever it is I'm about to spend my money on--cars, carpentry, electrical work, progressive lenses--and I normally approach a vendor with skepticism and a thousand questions. (A personal failing, no doubt.) I was completely comfortable with the quality of this shop, and with the value of its services. So rare! Many thanks.“

9 YEARS AGO: Visited at least four eyeglass stores in NYC before discovering CHARLOTTE JONES OPTICIANS. Went in to purchase one pair of UNIQUE eyeglass frames for myself and purchased three. Charlotte was a pleasure to work with and very,very patient with my husband and I (he purchased two very stylist frames after wearing basically the same boring wire style for 20 years). Looking forward to visiting this wonderful Optician again next time we're in town!“

“wanted lasik for awhile, but waited until i had a stable prescription for 3yrs+ and was 25. did a virtual consultation first to test the waters. had my in person consultation at Lasik Vision Institute in Rochelle Park. I have a bad astigmatism in both eyes.. (also nearsighted) no wait time in rochelle, did eye exams and was told i was eligible.. was able to schedule the surgery same day at LasikPlus in Paramus! paramus was busier than rochelle. Surgery takes 15-20mins. I won't lie, they underplay the recovery discomfort.. for me, it was more than just discomfort after (felt like multiple ripped contacts). Came back to Rochelle for my Follow up Visit. 20/15 vision! Takes up to 3 months for stabilization. Both locations had helpful, welcoming staff.. seems like a lot of the staff had lasik themselves. after my discount, i paid $3.6k, which is how much i usually spend in 3 years on my eyes. btw i live over an hour away, so i did not choose them for convenience or price. Update: It's been a little over a month since my procedure.. I stopped having any side effects after 3 weeks. Things i learned and wish i knew beforehand: 1. Go to your eye doctor and get their opinion first! (corneal thickness and pupil size) The lasik doctors are helpful, but they're def more in it for profit than scaring ppl away. 2. Apparently, lasik might cause cataracts 10-15 years earlier than normal.. but i would assume by the time i'm old enough for cataracts, the technology will be significantly improved. 3. the corneal flap heals, but will never fully heal. would require significant trauma to dislodge a healed flap. can usually be put back into place no problem. 4. lasik affects your eye pressure. could affect an accurate glaucoma diagnosis. update again: its been over 5 months and i'm doing great!“
