“Our neighbor used Hoy plumbing in an emergency, and had nothing but good things to say about them. We figured in this case we would use them as well. I had a drain that started backing up slowly in my bathroom which did not respond to Drano alone. When they came, they told me what they discovered which was not a simple fix, but was not a difficult one either. Being as thorough as they were, they also went to check my lines to make sure that everything emptied out properly into the main sewer line, only to discover that I actually had two main lines. Joe, the owner, came over and inspected as well, and told me this was not uncommon especially when you have a septic tank conversion which may have happened many years ago. he went on to explain to me the history of the houses in the area, the plumbing involved with them, and the changes that have happened over the years based on the town inspectors. Needless to say I learned a lot about my house, as well as some of the history of why things function the way they do in my house. He obviously has a good amount of experience with older houses, and I'll be using them again when something else comes up.“

I called up Frank Marinelli Plumbing and Heating to dee if they could check things out for less, and the guy on the phone walked me through how I could do the work myself for a cost of about $10-15 bucks. That type of help and honestly is rare. These guys did not get a dime for the advice today, but next time I have a plumbing issue, I know who I’m going to call.“

“I have a 1912 Home with a lot of old piping. The water intake pipe coming up from the basement floor was leaking badly. Had the Water Company turn off at the street. Called four Plumbers. Three would not work on it after pictures/description was given over the phone.The 4th came out and also would not attempt a repair. All said piping is too old, cant be saved, new line has to be run from the street. The next Plumber I called was Fabian, Angler Plumbing. He said he would come out the next day and take a look. After arriving and examining, he also stated it was an old pipe and may disintegrate when worked on, but he would try to remove the inner rusted pipe to use the connector for the new line.He worked on it till the old pipe was removed. Threaded in all new brass connectors and copper pipe, with shutoff valves. All PerfectHe accomplished very rapidly what four other Plumbers would not even attempt, saving me thousands of $s, and being very pleasant while doing it!Cannot praise Fabian enough!Services: Plumbing pipe repair“

“I recently had a very favorable experience working with Clover Heating and Oil in resolving an issue with the oil-fueled boiler for the steam radiators at my property at 38 Longview Ave., White Plains, NY, 10605. The boiler was shutting off after brief periods of operation, and replacement of several parts of the pump yielded no long term solution. Clover Owner Anthony Marmo at this point thought outside of the box and consulted with manufacturers of the unit to learn of an unusual but occasional occurrence of Seized Fuel Units. Clover installed an additional and redundant filtering device, and the boiler now works perfectly. Throughout my work with Anthony, with Bridgette and Samira of the dispatching staff, and with Alex and Manny, the on-site technicians, I found Clover to be prompt, responsive, expert and patient in explaining and solving the issues and deciding the courses to take. “Quality of service was EXCELLENT. I would use this provider again if needed. As echoed in P.A.'s review, the pricing was quite high. Mike came in for about 15-30 minutes, with a helper, and ran his plumber's snake about 45' down from my 2nd floor kitchen sink, finding the blockage. He asked for, and got, $385 for the initial service (which was all labor, no parts). He was thorough and professional. He recommended other work which he wanted me to do immediately that would have added over $500 to the price (clarified that it was extra, not inclusive of what I paid him!) The PVC pipe work required - changing the pitch of a horizontal pipe under the 2nd floor sink, in addition to clearing the clog - would have cost over $800. If I was a union shop and Mike a union Master Plumber that might be fine. I'm not, and he's not (or at least didn't claim to be). For what it's worth, the work appears to be 100% necessary. We're just talking about excessive pricing (in my opinion...)“
