“I would recommend Haddon Veterinary Clinic to all pet owners in the area. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They are always willing to take extra time to answer questions and assist in any way with concerns about your pets. Dr. Anthony is a wonderful person, caring and has a special connection with all of his clients. Great place for your pets. Highly professional office staff.“
“I have a senior kitty, Gigi, who saw Dr. Meister. He thoroughly examined her, tested her & provided a diagnosis & treatment plan in just one visit. Absolutely recommend!“
“We felt that our pet received great care during his last visit. We are grateful to have a local vet who takes the time to hear our concerns and love our pet as much as we do. It is a little bit pricey here, but the convenience and quality of care if worth it to us!“
“I love Rhawnhurst Animal Hospital. My dog Charlie is not easy to deal with. Dr. Cantor is an amazing vet who works well with all the animals. I trust this vet and all the associates. Thank you all at Rhawnhurst Animal Hospital.“
“Best vet that I’ve been been to in my 20 years as a pet parent. They are knowledgeable and really care about their patients. They squeezed in my cat for last minute major surgery which is something for which I’ll always be grateful. . Thank you Voorhes!“
“Heart and Paw Callowhill is the best place in the city for grooming and vet needs! Amazing staff! I have gotten my dog groomed as well as had him get his yearly vaccines for 3 years here! 10 out of 10 !“
“Dr. Gandler, Crystal, and the entire staff at Sterling Vet are absolute angels. Although our old gal had to be put to sleep yesterday, we were wrapped in warmth and compassion the entire time. I cannot imagine going through such an experience anywhere else. We are so grateful for all this practice has done and continues to do for our family.“
“Dr. Renaud is fantastic! She helped both of my dogs today after they got into a scuffle. It was my first time going to the Animal Hospital of Somerdale and even though I sincerely hope I don't have to go back for a long time, I strongly recommend bringing your fur babies! They were all kind, thorough, helpful, and got them both squared away. I'm so grateful and so are they!“
“Staff and Veterinarian are very pleasant.
I highly recommend Wyncote Animal Hospital. Vet is very gentle with my cat.“
“The staff at wissahickon have been amazing dealing with me and my helicopter pet mom ways! My cat, Romeo would probably not bring alive if it wasn't for Dr. Yard's suggestion to go the Metropolitan Veterinary for his IBD. Romeo is currently dealing with a respiratory infection and arthritis and the doctors and staff have been so patient with me emailing them almost every day.
Thank you from Christina and Romeo!“
“Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, who take the time to explain everything and answer all questions. The price was reasonable, and they were upfront about costs ahead of time. Highly recommend!“
“They were kind and non-judgmental. Very clean and put my dog, myself and family at ease. The receptionist was the best and was extremely compassionate offering advice etc. I didn't like the bogus $30 poop fee, but other than that, I was happy for the services provided.“
“Love this place and how they treat us here! We have a pup who can be anxious but this crew shows her love and understanding every visit. We are very appreciative of Fishtown animal hospital and won’t go anywhere else for care of our pets.“
“If you're in need of honest pricing and a great experience, look no further. I have an approx. 7yo 83lbs pit mix that was sick and needed bloodwork/testing done. Came to Cottman Animal Hospital as a first time patient and was blown away with the experience as a whole. The staff is just amazing, friendly, understanding, and compassionate. I was able to get my dog all the help he needed for his health and fill meds on site. I will be surely returning with him for any needs he has in the future.
Thank you, Cottman Animal Hospital from Baci the bully and myself!!!“
“I have been bringing all of my pets here since they opened their doors in the 90’s! Chews vet has always helped with our cats and dogs from the day we got them, til the very end. The facility is very clean and the staff are all so nice. Highly recommend if you are looking for a vet“
“Responsive, reasonably priced, and excellent care. I needed to have my cat seen on very short notice and they were able to squeeze me in same day. Very grateful for their weekend hours.“
“This is an amazing veterinary office. Been going here for years and also the rescue I foster for used PAH also. Top notch care and relatively inexpensive compared to many in the Philadelphia area. I highly recommend them.“
“The Mrs. Is a very thorough doc. Assistants are great with my "awnry" little pooch. Not particularly happy with recheck visits and having to pay reoccurring fees but you do what you gotta do for you furry friend!“
“My cat was having an asthma attack. If you call for a problem like this and let them you that you are on the way, they will take care of you in less time. The doctor and the front desk was really helpful. My cat improved immediately after the vet care and they even asked to let them know the next day how my cat was doing. Sometimes they are too busy and there is many people in front of you, but for this problem they made an exception. I only have good experiences here (I have a cat only. I don't know about the dog experiences).“
“Always kind and gentle with my 90# Bull Terrier who is horribly afraid of car rodes and the vet.“
“I brought my pregnant Shepard in close to the holidays because she wasn’t progressing and seemed in distress. The staff at Animal’s First took incredible care of her performing an emergency c-section right then and there. Everyone was kind, helpful, and most importantly honest throughout the process. The surgery performed by Dr. Munir has healed perfectly. Six healthy puppies later, my family could not be any happier with our experience. Mom and the pups have had their follow up care here and each time I’m in it’s the same, good people practicing good medicine. Don’t hesitate to call and schedule an appointment with this fantastic hospital.“

“My dog was very sick when I brought her in to be evaluated. She had to be there for 7 days and had to have 3 blood transfusions. Dr. Wallace and Jesse took such good care of my girl. I can’t say enough about how well my girl was cared for by them. I am so grateful I was able to bring her home that she recovered and for everyone at this hospital.“
“On Sunday October 6, it was a warm sunny day. My fully 6ft wood paneled fenced in backyard (replaced in spring recent) and enforced with chicken wire round the top, allowed my two kitties to roam about and enjoy outside safely. Never, could I ever imagine a rogue pit bull would jump my neighbors low wire fence into an adjacent neighbor’s yard and then ram his head through my wooden fence. He was after my fluffy Lucy cat and he tossed her around like she was an irrelevant plaything from his toy box!! We yelled, cursed and tried to make him release her from his jaw—but no way would he let go. He beat her about on any surface he could find, smiled when we demand him to “drop it!” And only by the grace of GOD were we able to retrieve her near lifeless body and rush her to the local vet with the help of the dogs owner.
Lucy sustained a broken jaw and multiple jaw fractures, 2 fractures of the vertebrae, a concussion, brain trauma that is still TBD and loss of multiple teeth. When our local vet stabilized her, they admitted they could not treat the level of injury she suffered. They recommended Univeristy of Pennsylvania Matthew J Ryan vet hospital to treat her.
With a healthy dose of pain meds, we drove her in the back of our truck on a makeshift stretcher(cardboard, towel, medical tape bound) to the best option available to diagnose whether, 1) they could help her or 2) it was a lost cause and euthanasia was most fair. With a heavy heart and trauma of our own we moved forward—but were delayed by a minor fender bender, not life altering in a basic sense, but Lucy was on a time clock!!
When we finally arrived, a 3rd year resident took our admittance info and was nothing less than empathetic. The ER doctor said she had a good chance so we trudged on. Day after day of ups and downs. Woke up great, maybe had a seizure, woke up better, needs transfusion, may be septic, better white blood cell count today..etc. It was like that for 8 days til sugery was finally viable and two days later, she is home and now five days after, getting stronger each day.
I do want to shout out to my contracted pet insurance Company though USAA, your company has been fair, paid the appropriate coverage, without challenge, and just a note that paying for pet ins, is without a doubt, one of the more adult things I’ve done in life and in doing so has paid its value. Both claims submitted were paid and deposited in my bank account within one day (even though they mention 2-3 bus days).
Their prompt payments were a huge relief for me. I had to take out a personal loan to cover the cost I had to spend across 3 credit cards to pay for Lucy’s surgery the day I picked her up. Her insurance covers 15k accident/illness ins. Her final bill before checkups and wire removal was almost 25k, but imagine if I didn’t have Insurance. This would definitely be a place where I find my self in a challenging spot.
Bottom line:
The university of Penn veterinary hospital is one of the best hospitals for Vetinary science on the east coast. From my experience, the state of the art techniques and analysis they provide at their hospital is unmatched. If you are in desperate times, and your pet is ill, these are the folks to handle your case. They take the life of your pet seriously and they take the love for your pet from you seriously.“
“Been with Dr. Sheehan for years. Always a great experience. Very knowledgeable staff, always attentive to any concerns with my dogs. No better veterinary office, but I'm biased.“
