I appreciate her daily communications on her progress and her caring and firm handling of our fur baby! We did the 2 week residential immersive training and what a positive difference this made in the end result! at the end of the training she reviewed and provided material re: what Izzie learned making it easy for us to maintain. Shyra was recommended to us and I wilI highly recommend her to others...she was a pleasure to work with !“

“Rabbit & reptile owners: COME HERE!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. They care about your animals on a deeply personal level. I’ve taken my 14 year old tortoise there for checkups numerous times. She had a respiratory illness and they helped me rectify it. They go above and beyond. Our beloved Flemish giant rabbit, Tilly, had been seen early one morning one day for GI stasis. It’s common in rabbits and we’ve had experience, it’s not a big deal when you catch it early, give them meds, and syringe feed them food. They knew this well. She was a terror, but she was our terror. We knew the drill for feeding and most importantly, meds (they literally opened half an hour early for her!!). Unexpected for everyone, she passed later that day at only about 3 years old. Dr. Roelofs is a godsend. She spoke to me for like 20 minutes on the phone at like 7 pm that evening about how it wasn’t my fault and how everything had looked normal on all the scans while I sobbed uncontrollably. She seemed as stunned as I was. I later received a card from the office, signed by everyone. Dr. Roelofs wrote a long note once again assuring me and my distraught husband in the card that we had done nothing wrong. We are experienced rabbit owners. Sometimes things just go wrong genetically. The comfort this clinic and Dr. Roelofs has brought me cannot be contained in a google review. But she’s amazing and so is this clinic.“

“Always a warm welcome when we walk in the door, which is especially appreciated when your animal is sick. There’s SUCH an emphasis on the best care, I always feel as though everyone there really cares about what they’re doing. The team is so attentive to the animals in their care but also to the people in their lobby. I recommend all of my friends with animals to make American Animal their home vet. ❤️“

“I take my beloved family dog here. He's a large active breed and needs tons of excercise for his physical and mental health. The improvement in his behavior and overall demeanor from when he wasn't getting enough excercise is night and day. I cannot reccomend this enough to anyone else who is living with a playful, athletic pup.“

“After my 12 year old dog passed away, I was in an absolute panic at the thought of going thru potty training a new puppy after all those years. Sue was recommended to me. When I called her, she was so very understanding and was at my house the day after I brought my 10 week old puppy home. Just having her there with her expertise was such a calming factor for me. Sue really understands the mind of a dog and I learned so much from her during our puppy sessions. I have had dogs my entire life and I have never felt I had the necessary tools in starting off on the right foot until now. Sue is always there for you if you need to call; and with her expertise, she is terrific in how she deals with your dog. Also, she is very patient with you and gives so much of her time. I highly recommend Sue and will continue to refer her to others!“

“This was my first time leaving my baby and I was super nervous. When I called they gave me updates on her eating/ play/ bathroom habits which made me feel better. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because she was there from Wednesday until Monday and I only got pics two days out of the stay. I would have liked to see pics every day since there are no cameras. But other than that I would highly recommend. I felt secure that she was taken care of.“
