“My appointment went extremely well. I went in expecting cataract surgery. My doctor examined me and immediately started I was one year away for this surgery. I was elated since I felt the whole time my vision was not impaired. I am pleased my doctor was completely honest with me.“

“My wife and I drove out to see Dr. Fogleman. We drove from Jacksonville and were fifteen minutes early for our appointment but unfortunately we were turned away at the door due to the No Weapons sign. My wife and I both have CHPs issued by our county here in NC. So being that we carry the sign denies our entry to Wilmington Optometry. We respect this office's choice to disallow them but this made it impossible to be seen.My wife called to let them know while we were in the parking lot that we couldn't enter because of the policy and were then told we would be charged a cancellation fee. There was no mention on the website or over the phone that there was a no weapons policy in place and I have personally never experienced this being a policy at any eye doctor I have visited. The reason we scheduled an appointment here was because our regular eye doctor is booked out until February next year.I will say the person at the desk was nice and explained she didn't have any control over the late fee but that she would let the doctor know our concern. My main problem is that it is bad business to charge my wife and I a cancellation fee because of a policy that is only clearly posted when you get to the front door.If they decide to waive the cancellation fee for my wife and I considering we had no knowledge of such a policy I will update this review accordingly.Edit 5-27: While it's unfortunate I was unable to utilize this eye doctor, I do appreciate the response from them and will reiterate that they were very professional over the phone.“

“I went back to Atlantic Vision Center for my annual check-up; saw Dr. Taylor for the first time. He is the best, the most thorough, and the most knowledgeable of any eye doctor I've seen. He explained my eye test results carefully and in a way I readily understood. His quality of care is most admirable, and I'll ask for him specifically when I go back. The quality of care which Dr. Taylor gives is unmatched. The entire office is clean & centrally located; the staff is helpful and friendly, and I didn't need to wait long at all. Bottom line: I highly recommend Dr. Taylor at Atlantic Vision Center and am extremely pleased with the care I received from him.“

“They are really nice and efficient. From the front desk to the medical assistants and doctor. They even checked my glasses from another place that I felt were ‘off’ and turns out I was right. I’m very thankful for them discovering this because my glasses were hurting instead of helping and now I’m armed with the proper prescription to get filled. I also appreciate that every member of staff there is willing to answer questions. It makes the whole experience that much easier.“

“Staff was great from eye Pre- assessments & exams. extremely thorough. Staff very friendly, professional & helpful. The selection of eyewear is minimal and somewhat reasonable However, Communications from the eyewear department is lacking. It's now going on it's fifth week waiting for my prescription sunglasses to come in. After being out of town for almost two weeks and stopping in to pickup my glasses, Only then was I informed of an additional delay with no ETA. A phone call would have been appropriate and appreciated. I do however highly recommend Cape Fear Eye Institute for the best eye examinations for your eye health.“

“I got down to my last pair of contacts, but my usual doctor Omni was booked for a month out. I was gonna run out of Contacts by then. So I decided to book an appointment with my eyecare doctor in Wilmington. I’ve recently been in between jobs so I’ve had to apply to Medicaid as my insurance after I booked my eye appointment with my eye doctor. I had to wait Three weeks which was relatively quick, all things, considered, however, four days before my eye appointment They called me to tell me that they were booked the Truth. They canceled my appointment because I was paying with Medicaid for someone that wasn’t. I was in an emergency where I needed contacts. In fact, I was only wearing one, and I explained the situation to them and there was zero empathy. Nobody cared nobody tried to, I called Omni And I explained the situation to them, and they were able to book me an emergency appointment the next day, so after two weeks of wearing one contact, Omni eye specialist of the kindness of their heart found a way to get me an appointment and get me a prescription so I would no longer be wearing one. If you’re gonna go to any doctor in Wilmington, go to Omni because they actually care.“

“I recently had cataract surgery with Wilmington Eye. my surgeon was Dr Kate Leon. From beginning to end my experience with Wilmington eye was seamless. The staff at the office and at the surgical facility were wonderful. They were extremely kind professional and very calming. The surgery results were amazing. I chose the multifocal lens for both eyes. I'm 74 years old and I do not need any glasses. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes and do not need reading glasses for anything. Dr Leon thank you so much for taking such good care of me!“

“We are visiting from out of town and my husband lost his prescription glasses in the ocean today. He didn't have any backup so we searched many places who weren't able to accommodate a last minute eye exam on a Saturday at 3pm. Thankfully not only did we stumble on Stanton Optical online but they accommodated us right away with an appointment. Megan was beyond a wonderful associate who understood our need to be in and out.
