I'm a newcomer to the area and needed an electrician to add some circuits and outlets, and install a couple of LED lights and fans.
On my search, I came across DMR Electric. I'm glad I did. From my first contact with Mike until the job was finished I had all the confidence I needed that they were the right call.
Mike answered my inquiry very quickly and was able to provide an estimate and start date that I felt was very fair.
His crew showed up exactly when they said they would. Dennis and Dakota were personable, friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly focused on what they were there for. They did an outstanding job in quick order and cleaned up perfectly. We have additional electric work coming up and no doubt will be calling Mike back for that. I highly recommend this company. They are top notch in my opinion.
Best barber shop in Southport. I was trying something new with my hair and Ronnie got it right. Ronnie communicated with me before my appointment. He had an entire block of time reserved for me. He took his time and my haircut came out great.

I had a 10:55 AM cataract postop follow up but they We’re behind schedule and after 30 minutes, I asked to be rescheduled because I had another commitment coming up. They were understanding and got me in later that afternoon, and I was seen promptly. The whole staff is very professional, and the doctor took plenty of time explaining what was going on and what some of our options might be.

Had the best experience at a dentists office. Sounds crazy but it was! We moved here a few months ago and was nervous about finding a good dentist. Had a back upper tooth that was in bad shape causing pain and ear aches. The staff was top notch and friendly. Dr Laura Bachara was very informative, friendly, and professional. She explained everything, didn't try to "sell" me other procedures. Dr. Bachara showed confidence in what she was doing and made me feel relaxed. Her assistant Susanne was great. A very important aspect of the visit was the Covid19 protocol. It was very good and I had no doubt at all they were serious about protecting me and themselves. The price was reasonable. She also called me at home later that evening to see how I was doing. I'm sure not many dentists would do that. I hope to never need a dentist again, but when I do it will be with Dr. Bachara.

Went to this shop based on a recommendation from a neighbor on Nextdoor. In the past, I've typically just walked into any barber when needing a haircut, Steve prefers that clients schedule an appointment but does take walk-ins. Steve's shop is within the Poiema Salon in downtown Southport, but is still easy to find as there's a barbers pole outside the salon. His shop is just quaint enough to close the door and have privacy if needed and Steve gives you that old-school barber vibe. On this trip, I just needed a haircut but Steve also does straight-edge shaves which is becoming a lost art. I'm definitely going have that done on my next trip. My haircut was done perfectly including trimming my eyebrows without even being asked and using a straight-edged razor to trim the hair on the back of my neck, something I associate with old-school barbers. I highly recommend at least giving him a try, but he has a committed customer going forward.
Just got my hair cut for the first time by Lauren and she was fantastic. I recently moved here and needed a haircut. I called Lauren and she cut it for me. Needless to say I will definitely be going to her from now on. She was just who I was looking for. If you are new to the area or just need a great haircut I would definitely recommend Lauren at Southport Hair Company.

Susie is a miracle worker. Got a color job at another salon in Southport and was very disappointed as it was not at all what I asked for. The next day, Susie treated my hair and added highlights based on what I requested; the color came out so amazing and better than I hoped for! The staff at Watertown Hair are so nice, professional and accommodating. The salon is very clean and comfortable. Great prices and location, too. Highly recommend!

I changed over to Diamond nails because I had trouble finding a Nail Tech who wouldn't hurt me! Tina gives an excellent gel mani/regular pedicure. She is gentle but thorough and does an excellent job. Highly recommend!!

I called on 9-11-24 they returned my call promptly. I asked how long it would be to have a residential service call. I was told that they could have a tecnician at my house at 8:00a.m. on 9-12-24. I described what the call would be about. At 8:00 a.m. the technician rang the door bell. I greated him and he gave his name. He came in and I identified the probem and what I had already done. He started his systematic search for the problem. In about 45 minutes he identified the problem which required that we replace a ceiling light fixture. While my wife and I went to Lowes to get a new light fixture the Technician addressed the second problem. When we returned from Lowes the Technician and I installed the new light fixture. Then we finished troube shooting the flood light issue. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Robert Prince Electrical Service. Very professional, very polite, very effecient. I feel that I got my monies worth and want hesitate to recomend them to others. I have had some bad experiences with Southport service providers. It was very refreshing to do business with Prince Electrical Services, They showed up on time and did an exceptional job. Thank You

After a strong spring thunderstorm, we had a leak in our 5-year-old roof. A quick check of what we could see, indicated that some of the lead sheathing on a vent pipe was damaged. We checked online reviews and were satisfied that Willis Roofing was well regarded and that it was also close by. A phone call to Willis was quickly answered and an inspection was scheduled for the next day. The inspection revealed that squirrels had been eating the lead sheathing on all of our vent pipes. Rubber roof boots were installed on all of our vent pipes the next morning. In addition to the boot installations, Willis inspected the rest of our roof and secured some loose shingles. We've had some worse storms since this repair and have had no leaks. This was a professional operation from start to finish and the cost of the repair was very reasonable. We will be contacting Willis Roofing for any future repairs or when it's time to replace the shingles.
When we moved to NC we ended up buying a spec home from Drake Homes. After we moved in we did have a few minor issues but they were taken care. Ron’s superintendent Tim Rivenbark was great. If you needed anything he was very helpful and great to work with.
George and his staff continue to impress me each and every visit. They are always on time and are great with following up/answering the phone. If you live in the Southport area this is who you need to call. They are coming out next week to pressure wash my house and I am sure they will be as awesome and professional doing that as they have been for all of my pest control needs. Thanks. After Helene our home needed to be vacant while reconstruction went on. Cleggs agreed to suspend service until it was reopened again. In the meantime the whole house dehumidifier they installed has been extremely helpful. We’ve used Clegg’s for almost 10 years and will hopefully continue for many years into the future.

I am a person with dentistphobia! Have been scared of dentists my whole life. Have been going to Bachara and Bryan for years. Have always had excellent care and service even under emergency circumstances.
