So happy I gave this location a shot - I thought it was as gimmick at first for being in a Target but this practice exceeded my expectations. “I'm new to the area and was happy to find the eyecare center close to my neighborhood.They were very courteous and made a quick appointment for me. They do accept Medicare and checked to see that my plan covers exam and lenses. They are following all protocols for social distancing. I'll post a review after my actual visit.“

“I had an appointment for an eye exam for new glasses today at the Northlake location. Everything went perfectly from the start. Receptionist was welcoming, warm & courteous. The lady who performed the pre-test, kind and thorough. The dr was amazing! She was well spoken, clearly knowledgeable in her field and took the time to explain anything I had questions about. So far, a perfect experience right? But, there's one more step-picking frames & ordering glasses. While waiting for my turn I picked out the frames I liked & took a seat & waited to be called. When I took my seat at her desk she asked if I'd be using insurance and I replied I would and told her what I had and she stated they didn't take that insurance. Mind you, the glasses I have now came from the same company (different location) and I used my insurance. Go figure! So with that cleared up, I gave her the frames I chose and she said, "They're so big"!. It kinda took me by surprise because they didn't look huge to me and then I started wondering why shouldn't I have big frames if that's what I liked. I've worn glasses since I was a child & never had a salesperson (not sure of her title) comment about my choice of frames & I didn't think it was her place to suggest what I bought from the store with MY $! She even made an odd look with her face. Now I was really at a loss for words! But we proceeded and I guess she eventually decided she had had enough say-so in MY business! I will continue to use this location because the dr and the rest of the staff made for a wonderful experience, but I will wait any length of time necessary for someone else to help me through the fitting & ordering process and if I'm ever asked why I wait, I will explain this experience to them.“

“Our visit to Mint Hill Eye Care was by far the best experience I have ever had with an eye doctor. Everyone was super friendly and professional. My exam was quick and thorough. I was thrilled to find out I could pay a little extra to have a picture of my eyes taken instead of getting them dilated. Dr. Aynsley Girardeau was wonderful. She put any nerves at ease, answered my questions, and explained everything in a kind and caring way. We were surprised when there was absolutely no pressure to purchase our eye glasses from them. We typically get frames at Costco when they have a sale as our vision insurance isn’t the best. Mint Hill Eye gave us copies of our prescriptions and told us to come back if we didn’t find anything we liked at Costco. I would highly recommend them!“
