“This is a wonderful vet practice. I have been coming here since we moved to the area 8 years ago.So many people have experienced vets that try to nickel and dime you; this practice is not like that. I am very sensitive to my dog's health issues and several times that I have asked for bloodwork or an xray they've recommended not doing it as bloodwork had been done recently or they didn't feel there was a need.We live less than 10 minutes from here so I have referred several neighbors to them. One neighbor had a 16 year old dog in great health. The vet she was seeing recommended palliative care and just wanted to drug her dog up. She started going to Bel Aire and with Dr. Packard's care her dog lived another 2 years not drugged up.Another neighbor just thanked me tonight for referring her to Dr. Haymore (who my dog currently sees and we absolutely love him and Ashley). Her dog had experienced a somewhat serious kidney issue and it seems her dog's kidney values are back to normal with their care.My dog has a sensitive stomach and was experiencing issues despite being on a prescription diet. Haymore took the time to listen to me read off the ingredients on her treats. He immediately zeroed in on an ingredient in one treat and told me to cut that one out. Stomach issues were resolved.This is a really great practice with people who truly care about your animals. I cannot recommend them enough.“

One with chronic ear infections that turned out to be fungal not bacterial as was previously treated. And my IBD Kitty is on steroids now & has resumed normal eating & seems happier. “My pets have been seeing Dr Mortensen since I moved to the area in 2015. He always handles my pets with care. I have some not so friendly pets (a big outdoor tom cat and an antisocial old boxer). Every time I come and get them, they always seem in good spirits, never scared and always happy. He's one of the few vets that will encourage a second opinion at times and the prices are very fair and they do their best to get my pets in last minute (that tom cat gets himself into trouble). I think he explains everything thoroughly and is very kind and so is his staff. I would give an extra star for their office cat, Noelle, but Google won't allow it.“

“(UPDATED) My mom and I have been taking our dogs here for years, Yoda (before she passed), Cash, and Nala. Never have I had an issue with this place. Aside from typical vet complaints (some longer wait times on busier days, vets are expensive, etc), they've always done their best to work with me regardless of any situation I've been in over the years. I love my dogs like they're my children, and you can tell they do too - but I don't always have $400 to spare on a single visit, so they usually work with me to make sure Cash is still taken care of - just over the course of a couple weeks instead of just one. In times like this, they should know how much that's appreciated, especially as a not-so-established semi-adult LOL.<br>Thank you Southwoods for taking care of our fur-babies. :)<br><br>UPDATE: Since about 2:00 this morning my Cash boy had been having an adverse reaction to a vaccine, and they spoke with me over the phone about what I could do to help them. In the anxiousness I forgot her name, but she also took the time to help me feel better about the situation as I was very clearly freaking out. The ultimate decision was to bring him in to be seen again. The vets and assistants (with all due respect, im not sure their official titles) were so quick to help him, and were so so nice to my precious boy. They gave him the medicine he needed, gave him lots of love, and sent us on our way with some home-instructions and medications. Thank you (once again), Southwoods for helping me take care of my baby❤️ Always recommend!!“

“My dog has never liked going to the vet, but since covid she has become a bit reactive with unfamiliar people. This of course only increases in stressful situations, like going to the vet. Finding vet care for her has been difficult and it has always been a highly stressful experience for both of us. We decided to try Friendly Animal Clinic this time around as her previous vet had changed ownership, and I'm so glad we did. While my dog was unable to be examined the first time I brought her in, the doctor used this as an opportunity to build rapport with her while we came up with a plan that would better suit her. I brought her back in following the protocol suggested by the doctor yesterday, and she was able to have a full examination done, and other than a couple brief moments, had no issues with reactivity. She was even wagging her tail, accepting treats from staff, and laying down at some points during her visit. The care and effort they put toward making my girl more comfortable did not go unnoticed and unappreciated. This will definitely be our home vet from now on!“
