“I highly recommend trainer Magdalena at Highland Training in Harmony, North Carolina. My husband and I have a miniature Aussie we want to train as a service dog for my husband, who has Alzheimer’s. Magdalena and her team have transformed this seven-week-old puppy from a hyper fur ball to a well-disciplined, responsive one-year-old trained dog.<br>At Highland, every dog is assigned an apprentice trainer to work with their owner. There is no way we could have achieved on our own what was accomplished throughout George’s training.<br>While each dog owner works with an apprentice, Magdalena is also actively observing and interacting with each owner and dog.<br>We have had dogs as pets for over 50 years, but none went through training. I will never have another dog that is not trained, and I will definitely return to Highland training.<br>I am, in fact, planning to follow up with SAR training at Highland so that George and I can find my husband should he wander off alone.“
