They offer house calls, which has definitely been a game changer since we have 2 cats that don’t like to travel. We live in Porters Neck, but would travel to them no matter what!“

“In 2015, we adopted a Dachshund, Darla, from Furever Friends and their partner, Capeside. Darla required surgery and Dr. Sheila Hanby aptly treated her then and through the years and helped Darla live to age 18. We were forced to put her down in March, 2023 when she could no longer walk. For the preceding year, Drs. Hanby and Jeff Phillips kept the sweet girl functioning and as much out of pain as we could. Darla's passing was devastating to us. Imagine how we felt two months ago to get an unexpected call from Dr. Hanby and Sharon Smith with Furever Friends to say they had a ten year old Dachshund named Penny whose owner had just passed. Dr. Hanby and Sharon Smith knew how much we loved and cared for Darla and both immediately thought Penny would be ideal for us. We rushed in to meet her and she greeted us with wagging tail and kisses. It was instant, mutual love. Capeside and Furever Friends are extraordinarily caring and wonderful organizations, We love them both.“

“I have been taking my dogs to Leonard Sykes since I moved here almost 6 years ago. I lost 1 of my dogs during that time to heart failure- Dr. Sykes was amazing throughout the entire treatment and I was blessed to have an extra 1.5 years I didn't think I would get. I have continued service with them since then with Beauby and each time the front desk staff is amazing- friendly, they genuinely care about you and your fur babies. Both doctors are down to earth and genuinely care for the animals. Pricing is affordable. No surprise charges. Visits are quick with zero wait time. “The most incredible vet in Wilmington! So beyond grateful for how much he cares for Bella and all pets. Bella suffered a horrible side effect from a drug called PosaTex that another vet prescribed to her which caused her to go 100% deaf in both of her ears. It was absolutely devastating and she was so miserable and confused for over a week. She also had a double ear infection. No one was willing to help. Dr Kerr was able to fit her in promptly and he recommended Ozone therapy. Within 24 hours of her first treatment, Bella’s hearing had significantly improved and her infection is almost gone at recheck that she has been fighting for over a month. Dr Kerr has truly saved us! We are so thankful her hearing is coming back. He also has checked in on us multiple times to see how she’s doing. Thank you so much!“

“We’ve been coming to BoomerangARC since October 2023 when our 14 yr old Lab tore both his CCLs. Our guy had also been dealing with some arthritis in his rear hips prior to the CCL injuries and the difference continual therapy has made is almost indescribable. Our sweet old man can often be stubborn but Ariana and Stephanie are incredibly patient with him (and us). We’ve had to cancel/reschedule appointments given our old man’s health status and they’ve been nothing but kind and accommodating. I only wished we had started therapy sooner - if you’ve been recommended therapy here, don’t think twice! It’ll be the best thing you’ve ever done for your pet.“

“It has been a few years since I've seen Dr. Mizrahi, so the delayed post is my fault. She was here for us when my two beautiful pot bellied pigs, and our beloved dog all had to be provided assistance in passing away. It's so difficult to put that into words that make sense. My pigs were both over 20 years old, as was my dog. The pain we experienced at their loss was tremendous. Dr. Mizrahi was always available each time, she rushed to our home not to perform a veterinary service, but to compassionately, empathetically, help us in a time of grief and sorrow. She gently, and delicately helped each of them pass calmly, and quietly away as we held them. We've been blessed with many wonderful veterinarians to care for our animal family, but Audrey Mizrahi is etched in our hearts as an angel, and friend . She is an amazing light in this world.“

“We had just moved to Wilmington and our rescue hound needed some care to his mouth. We has already seen another vet here and did not find the experience satisfactory and hugely expensive for what was provided ( a standard vaccination). Needham was recommended to us. We cannot say enough about how welcoming the space is, how courteous and friendly the staff were and how exceptional Dr. Gentile was in his thorough and knowledgeable approach, his recommendations and the complete lack of "push" for more tests or treatments. Our pup is 8 years old and we had been to many vets over the years - the majority were skilled and provided adequate service, some excellent service - but our wary rescue usually resisted entering a vet building and mostly trembled in the waiting room. Not this time - his tail did not stop wagging and his face was relaxed and happy. Is that not the best recommendation? our canine companions know so much more than we do! The treatment on his mouth is working a dream and the cost was very reasonable.“

I could not be more pleased and appreciative of the quality of care and concern they have shown in taking excellent care of my aging beagle. My dog has undergone two TPLO surgeries under their care. I felt total confidence in their surgeon, and appreciated their attention and direction throughout his recoveries. The thing that stands out the most about this practice is the personal touch they bring to caring for my precious beagle guy. Because he is aging, our appointments are not always straightforward. When I have had emergent concerns they have always managed to fit me in on the same day to see a doctor! I can't say enough about Forest Hills - the staff and medical team is incredible and I can't imagine taking my pup anywhere else in Wilmington! They really care and that means the world.“
