2409 Barrymore Ave, Durham“There isn't a service in the world that I could possibly rate higher than Local Mobile Vet. In late August, my then 5 year-old lab was diagnosed with kidney failure. She spent 4 days in the hospital receiving fluids, hoping to lower her numbers - hoping to create a new baseline. She returned home and we retested a couple of days later. She was staged 4/4 and she was put on supportive care. That last visit to the vet was really bad. Our lab was shaking almost uncontrollably. She never liked going to the vet, but it had never been quite that bad.
A neighbor recommended Local Mobile Vet. For the then very singular reason that an in-home vet visit would just be better for Evie, we made an appointment. Dr. Ashleigh Caplin and an assistant made the visit. From the very beginning EVERYTHING was better. You'll read lots of reviews about how much better it is for your pet than a trip into what can be a scary place. All of that is almost self-evident. Before they came I knew it would be better for Evie. But it's everything else that really makes the difference. Dr. C's interest in Evie's health was evident right away. While I had read a ton about Evie's condition, I didn't fully understand it. Dr. C was amazingly patient and thorough in both her explanation as well as our possible treatment paths - such a notable difference from our prior vet or the hospital. The email after our visit was nothing short of remarkable; so much detail and explicit instruction - I felt confident and empowered. The responsiveness with additional questions and the follow up visits has been amazing - again, the detail, it's really something.
Evie's 4/4 diagnosis is what it is, but our partnership with LMVS has helped to give us so much time we didn't think we'd have. We're nearing 6 months since she was admitted to the hospital and the prognosis was 14-70 days. Every additional day is a gift and LMVS is a big part of it.“

2005 N Pointe Dr #8, Durham“Dr. Banes and her staff are absolutely amazing! I was recommended to St. Francis by a co worker and I am so glad we went. Dr. Banes made us feel super comfortable and answered all of our questions when our little guy needed to get an enucleation. She even gave us her number during the hearing process so we could reach out with any more questions or concerns. After a very successful surgery she is now our primary vet. We couldn't recommend St. Francis more! Excellent communication, high level of knowledge and expertise, and so much compassion. You can tell they love what they do and they really treat you like a person not just a customer.“

“Where, exactly, to begin? All things 'vet' are to be found at Bahama Road Veterinary Hospital. Add BEST VET, paws none! Kind and caring Staff, from the moment you and Fido step through the door, until you check-out at the end. We began at Bahama Vet almost 13 years ago, with (2) established dogs. Routine vet care until each passed, and then, the DRs and Staff could not have been more caring. Next round of family fur members -- a rescue checked-over head to toe -- and the addition of a puppy. Excellent care saw them through their entire lives. And so now, probably what will be our last two dogs, who joined us at 5 months, and the other at 8 weeks. Yes, we are certifiably 'crazy,' but it's a good kind of DOG crazy, and we couldn't see taking the Boys anywhere else. One a large breed, hunting dog. His brother, a terrier. Could not hope for better veterinary care for either one. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G vets, all of them!“
