“We have had two family funerals in the past 5 years. Both times we were treated like family by Jeff Kandt. During these stressful occasions we were given great options and never pressured to spend more. This last funeral was the most difficult as we were unable to be there in person due to pandemic restrictions and once again Jeff assisted us and even went beyond acting more like a family member than a funeral director. This funeral home exceeds expectations. They are there for your needs. If you need a funeral home you can trust, who gives their best every time, contact them for the best experience under trying times. Thank you Jeff.“
“J.R. and his son are the best. Such empathetic service, available when we needed him. Drove up to Duluth to transport my father’s body back to N. St. Paul. So good with my mother. Can’t recommend strongly enough.“
“Mueller went above and beyond for my family. In the midst of trauma and loss, Mary was such a rock. Through the whole process — beginning to end, she showed me nothing but compassion, kindness, understanding, etc. I truly can’t voice my appreciation for her enough, but I am just so beyond thankful to have met her and to have had her by my side the whole way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mary!“
“Jaime and his staff were absolutely amazing. My mother passed away a couple of weeks ago and they took care of so much during this challenging time. The location is easy to access and it's a really beautiful set up for the service. We just held the service last night and everything went perfectly. I feel like with the help of Roberts Funeral Home we were able to honor my mother in a beautiful way. Thank you Jaime!“
“This cemetery is BEAUTIFUL!!! I visited for the silly reason that my name is Acacia and you don’t see places named that everyday. I joked with my friends that I want to be buried here when I die. Though let’s be real that this place is well kept, so green, and just beautiful that I would be happily content spending eternity here.“
“From the first contact to the last, they were professional, courteous, and caring. All of our questions were answered quickly. The facility is beautiful and many commented that it felt so warm and comforting. I have two suggestions for improvement: provide a list of items/supplies that are included (tablecloths, napkins, etc) and let the family know how to find the staff if anything comes up (I was going around knocking on doors when one of the toilets needed attention). Other than that, the attention to detail was amazing! We were happy to find several restaurants nearby to sit down with family and friends for a meal after the service. The location was easy to find and the parking was easier than expected.“
“Very friendly and understanding staff, great service and excellent help with all funeral activities.“
“Kok was/is there for my family from the beginning. They are so caring and helpful. The support group they offer is something I recommend as well.“
“Compassionate and professional service. No hard sell tactics for the 2 funerals I arranged. They listen to family preferences and priorities. Good attention to details.“
“The spirits at this Funeral Home be visiting the gas station across the street, and it is all on the Travel Channel“
“Corey and Heidi are the best!!They are truly, personable; compassionate and understanding in their profession. Kessler and McGuire Funeral home has been serving our family since, 1948.“
“Arranging my dad’s funeral was the most difficult thing I had to do. Wulff Funeral Home communicated very well. That was very important to me, so that everything went well saying goodbye to my dad. They were great throughout the whole process. I was very satisfied with them. I highly recommend them.“
“We've been with Brown Wilbert a long time. They have always done a great job and are very friendly all the time.We are lucky to be partnered with a fine establishment! They have always gone the extra mile for our firm!!“
“Brooks Funeral home in St. Paul is the only Black Funeral service that provides excellent services regardless of abilities to pay. They do require payment to exist.
The Staff has provided fine and thoughtful services since 1941. And a special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. George and Margaret Brooks.“
“Funeral home director/owner of the two funeral homes of the same name, one located on arcade street and the other located on gervais ave, seem to have started on a good note (with us) by having great communication and professionalism. However, I understand he is a busy man, but work is work and when something is paid for, it should be met. Everything went well for us for the most part and the owner helped us tremendously from suggesting Hmong cultural advice, to arranging our late loved one’s funeral , and, to supplying us with a few technical equipment for the event. However, once the expense was fully paid, it seemed the communication dwindled. I found myself calling/texting him a lot more than I should have, in an attempt to obtain my late loved one’s death certificates that I’ve purchased thru him about 2 months ago. Sometimes, he’d answer my calls and texts, other times, no response and his phone’s message inbox is full.I think to save anyone from stress and frustration, since it seems there was more than one incident similar to my issue with the same owner, maybe don’t purchase the death certificate via the funeral home as you can easily obtain it within a better timeframe via at the county vital records. But, overall, everything was decent, for example, the location of the funeral home (gervais location), parking space could improve but worked for our family during the pandemic, the availability of the props or supplies on site, and the excellent communication (prior to full payment). There was a decent size kitchen but we didn’t take the option to use it.There was also another large room for guests to sit outside of the actual service room. There was plenty of available seats or tables you can use. There was a small sized tv (likely a 32”) available for use but it could be larger as the room is so wide, not everyone would be able to see what’s on the screen from afar. In the smaller lobby area by the entrance, there is access to water dispensers, which worked great for our use during the funeral service. We supplied our own masks, hand sanitizers, and other minor equipment we needed or liked for the service. We did have to supply our own trash bags, the 13 gallon sizes? The outdoor firehouse to burn the joss paper is a few minutes walk away in the rear of the funeral home. I didn’t mind the walk there.I didn’t get to use the site’s restrooms but I didn’t hear any of my guests complained about it. Owner had plenty of tables for our use! That was a plus for us!“
“Tom Schultz did a fantastic job. He was friendly, attentive and took care of everything! Thank you!“
